How often have I raved on b+w army about it! too? A great Thirds team that Saints had scrambled a draw with at Love Street on the Saturday.... Good fellow, Hilley, Harley, Gray and McInnes - such a potent forward line. But Saints had big Jim Rodger on the wing.

billyg
Interesting Fifers line up , including Henry McLeish , yes that one, future Saint Walter Borthwick, and Ian Gilchrist , from Renfrew , who still carries some photos of his football memories at all times usually when he's having a drink in the Kind Mans ! Yes, I know that one. A mate of mine was a keen QoS fan who always went on about him. Slow on the football field but quite quick over 22 yards. RickMcD
Just checked. It was that big coo of a fitba player. F*CKEM ! I was at that game. Hal gave me a few comps for me and a couple of my pals. I spoke to Bomber that day outside the players and officials entrance on Love Street. Told him we would stuff them I thought he would get a game that day. Hal, Bomber and I were all regulars in the Stirling Castle in Old Dumbarton Road. Hal really was a great guy and I always found Bomber dead on too. Hated Bomber's team but I always had and still have a fondness for Morton. windae cleaner
If my memory serves me right, i think they hit the post with a penalty to go 3-1 up. Shame. They had a spell where they were running riot midway through the first half. The penalty miss halted it and we took over the rest of the match. Cat weasel scored more or less with the last kick of the ball
