Big Yards
We'll do the same to Dumbarton and Stirling when we turn out with half a team of u19 players!
Isle Of Bute Saint
What is exactly exciting about a pre-season friendly ? Well the obvious is a good away day which includes more than just the football match , oh aye ! The football match a game in which players do not want to get injured before the season starts. It’s a run out not to be taken seriously. Still it will be nice to give a warm welcome to our two Geordie cup heroes and their fans.
lovestreet
How are our club 'to blame' for anything? If the Newcastle side contains four or five guys we know from the telly, plus our League Cup heroes? Don't go if you think it's shite, but the club are in the business of preparing for the new season, not bringing Shearer, Ginola and Beardsley to town. A tenner would be better mind you, but this game is interesting - Dumbarton, Ayr and Stirling - with all due respect, should have been closed doors games. Mind you, it was worth the admission fee the time Andy Millen fell over a kit bag at Dumbarton. Who mentioned blame wee man?

Hambud
Did you not see Newcastle last season? GeordieBootBoys
UPDATE: NUFC officially regard St.Mirren clash as a FIRST team match, and not an u-21 game anymore. The fixture is listed in their first team pre-season schedule (other former u-21 fixtures have not been included). http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20130624/magpies-announce-pre-season-schedule_2281670_3205342
whydowebother
Actually the St Mirren game is only game where it specifically says a Newcastle eleven will play as opposed to first team.
