BaldyOzBud
PPS - I wait in trepidation for the adaption of Philip K. Dick's novel The Man In The High Castle to hit my TV screen. Never knew about this, as a glass half full kinda guy I wait in hope, and a tincture of optimism.
Bud the Baker
Never knew about this, as a glass half full kinda guy I wait in hope, and a tincture of optimism. I think it's available on Amazon via subscription at present (maybe Slarti could confirm) don't know when it'll hit one of the regular Sky channels. PS - I admire your optimism. irvine_buddie
Am on season 6 and i agree it's brilliant. I'm half way throughthe final season of Sons of Anarchy, its fantastic although the last season hasn't been as good as the previous ones so far, expecting an explosive ending though. I watch in constant fear of my favourite characters getting killed off.. no-one is safe!
Isle Of Bute Saint
One of the things I like about Scandal is the fact it was written by a fixer to the "Bush" president which brings a bit of reality too the table. However Hollywood can be a bit like a tabloid . Gad to read the contributions gives me something to view for the future.

BuddieinEK
I will need to try and track it down on Youtube for a wee swatch. If you watched the USA one first you might struggle with the Brit one which is slower by comparison. It is a slow burning grower.
Bud the Baker
Just found out that there will be a new two episodes series of Luther broadcast this autumn. The big difference between US & UK shows is the need (desire) of our transatlantic cousins to reach 100 episodes for syndication purposes - it's almost impossible to make that many episodes without a few clunkers or slipping into soap territory. Compare Luther which will total 16 episodes in 5 years with many of the US dramas which just drag on too long for me,I have a short attention span and normally lose interest halfway through the second series eg Game of Thrones & Vikings . One exception to this rule may be the aforementioned Wayward Pines which I believe will cover the 3 books in 10 episodes..
