Ted Heath

I think the flood gates are just about to open.

Might even be some who are still alive...

Has PM Cameron retracted his statement yet? The one where he said that those claiming that a paedophile ring was operating in Westminster and high echelons of society were conspiracy theorists.

I can't imagine it.

He always came across as an utterly asexual human being.

Obsessed with Classical Music, Sailing and politics...

The Natsis on here would have us believe that Thatcher was part of a cover up and now they want us to believe that Heath was a paedophile. IMO there is a possibility that one of the stories might be true but there's absolutely no chance of them both being true. Heath consistently put the boot into Thatcher and her government often in the most damaging way possible. Indeed Heath probably landed more blows on Thatcher than either James Callaghan, Michael Foot or Neil Kinnock yet we're expected to believe that Thatcher and her lieutenants let this happen whilst holding enough dirt of Heath to bury him forever!! No f**king chance!

I could believe the cover up story in the case of Leon Brittan or one of the other utterly subservient Tory wets from the era but there is absolutely no chance that Heath would have been given the room to damage Thatcher as often as he did if Thatcher was covering up such a vile news story about him.

Anything for a potshot at the SNP Stuart eh? The breaking of this news had nothing to do with Scotland but through retired police officers in Wiltshire. However, don't let that blind you in your daily attack on the SNP mate.

There was always a stack of innuendo and 'nudge,nudge- wink wink' stuff went on every time he went out on Morning Cloud with a crew of young guys. Holding on tightly to the rudder could mean one or two different things back then.,I never had any doubt he was gay even in those days but a term other than gay was used in those days.

Police in Wiltshire have never claimed Thatcher was part of a cover up. That level of fantasy belongs to the Natsi

Erm, you're the one who introduced Thatcher to the thread..................1eye.gif

Oh and your continued abuse isn't clever, fools no-one and only exposes the weakness of your argument.

Heath was a tragic bitter old socialist wet. Dripping wet, just like Cameron. A shit politician who was rightly parked by the next Tory government and who then went into a lifelong huff about it.

No idea if he was a kiddy fiddler or not, that MAY come out later on although he cant actually defend himself now.

It wouldn't be the first time allegations had been made though. Kenneth O'Dowd (boy Georges uncle) made up allegations about Heath in 1985 and was eventually taken to court by Heath. O'Dowd was convicted on two charges of perjury and two of perverting the course of justice. O'Dowd didn't use twitter or read nat blogs. dry.png

Ted Heath was an upstanding mp and did he not coin the phrase he is not for turning?

No.

It was a joke for Thatcher written by speech writers.

She didn't get it.

Needed it explained. She still didn't get it, but they persuaded her it was a fun/good thing to say.

Rumours about heath have been doing the rounds for years. This included the jersey care home scandal from a few years ago.

What is it with these yachtsmen - I wonder if he ever 'sailed' with mountbatten?

I see you've picked up from where you left the forum last week by continuing to make a rip roaring c**t of yourself with your posts. Edited by TPAFKATS

It is Sir Keith Joseph , who was a wee bit more to the right than the guy you mention. .

In the early 80's he visited Glasgow and was at a luncheon in the RAC Club. My office was in West George Street and parking was a bugger in those days, I was parked on yellow lines and the girls in our office gave us a shout if a warden came along. I duly got a shout and flew down the stairs outside our office and collided with Joseph. He had decided to walk down to his next engagement which probably took guts because he was as welcome in Glasgow as the proverbial bucket of shite. It was weird. He had minders round him- it looked more like he was a US president with his omni-present bodyguards. I swear some of them were reaching for their guns. I said sorry and carried on across the road. Joseph seemed to realise what was going on when he saw me arguing with the warden and kind of smiled. Didn't like him before then and still didn't like him afterwards.
