A hilarious moment yesterday when a Raith player slid off the park straight into Ian Campbell, wiping him right down and out.

Both Ian and the Raith player took it in good humour, as did Dick, a nice monet of light relief in a tense second half.

No.

THIS is a Monet showing light relief.

Thanks, never noticed. :thumbs2

Never do. Neither do the rest of us. However, a wonderful collection of paintings by Monet can be seen at my favourite Paris museum. The miser d’orsay https://www.google.co.uk/amp/story/s/www.google.com/search/static/gs/museum/m0f3b9.html

Next up, Thistle who are on a terrible run, a real "must win" game, only 5 games to go, no breathing space to lose and still have hopes of winning the league.

Kilmarnock are away to Morton who are on a decent run, only lost one from the last 5.

As I've said, it's out of Arbroaths hands, keep winning and hope, that's all they can do. :thumbs2

So, Kilmarnock scrape a very fortunate point against a Morton side who are on a good run of form.

It really doesn't change things a loss or a draw still results in the title being back in Arbroaths hands.

Back to 5 points with today's game in hand.

Must win right enough, the concern is the amount of draws this season.

Anyhow, the dream is still alive with 5 games to play, who'd have thunk that at the start of the season? :happyclapper

Must win today. The concern is the amount of draws this season.

Anyhow, the dream is still alive with 2 games to play before the split. Now, who whave thought that at the start of the season?
Well done too to my local team Arbroath who are 5 points off the top of the Championship with a game in hand and 5 games to go. Like St Mirren this season the number of draws has hampered their progress. Home form has been better for Arbroath.

The dreams of both are still alive as I write. Top six for Saints and a Championship win and promotion for Arbroath.

Last night, the door opens, today, slammed shut.

ANOTHERT draw, that's 14 draws this season, must be Guinness Book of Records.

Partick Thistle 0 - 0 Arbroath
Arbroath left Firhill with a point this afternoon and remain undefeated against the Jags this season with an impressive 16th clean sheet in the Championship and 20 clean sheets all season.
The ball did spend a lot of time in the air as both sides struggled to pass the ball on the Firhill pitch.
Although the point is left with a very sour taste after Chris Hamilton was fouled right under the nose of Referee Alan Newlands. The challenge left Chris having to be stretchered off with his leg being braced before he could be lifted from the field.
We hope Chris will be okay and we should have an update on his injury come Monday.
David Gold who replaced Chris hit the post just before the break.
Derek Gaston who had denied Brian Graham in the first half, made two even more stunning saves in quick succession as the tall striker almost netted for the hosts.
Jack Hamilton should have been awarded a penalty Tunji Akinola wrestled Hamilton in the box but again nothing given.
The Lichties had a good spell at the end of the game and moved the ball around well but just couldn't get the goal.
With many twists and turns yet to come in the final 4 games, the Lichties are still in the hunt.
C'mon the Lichties

The team might add something to the top league in terms of novelty interest and the fish and chips might be good on the east coast but the ground. No way. Surprise package this season but in play offs would the beat either St Johnstone or Dundee? I think not.

The professional approach from a part time club is very refreshing, constant updates keeping the fams informed, really grabbing the attention of the youth of the town, selling more and more merchandise and, even if this season doesn't go as many hope, they have been a credit. :happyclapper

Gayfield Upgrades
Gayfield Park is renowned throughout Scottish Football and far beyond for it’s quintessential style and unique location making it one of the most sought after away days and a familiar home-away-from home for our loyal supporters.
On the pitch our results speak for themselves, and as the only part-time team in the Scottish Championship the ongoing battle for the League title is going down to the 3 final games which is testament to the talented team of players and our experienced Management Team who are giving the town a real sense of pride and togetherness.
Away from Gayfield the Arbroath FC Community Trust has flourished and grown incorporating girls and boys at all levels. Everywhere you look around Arbroath you can see children wearing their Macron Arbroath kits with pride and passion.
Off the pitch our board of Directors have year-after-year been making sweeping improvements to Gayfield to make sure that our team can continue to play in our historic home for years to come.
Every close season we have been investing in upgrades, from replacing roofs on the main stands, to extending our current hospitality Suite and with the addition of the Champions Lounge and amazing supporters wall on it's side, we have allowed our fans a chance to have their names and the names of past loved ones to forever live on.
Today we took the first steps of making one of the largest changes in our recent history, and we are excited to reveal these plans with you.
As many of you who have passed Gayfield this afternoon will have noticed, the main front wall, club shop and our historic turnstiles have been removed. These turnstiles from Baileys of Salford, we believe have been in place since 1925 when we moved to what is now Gayfield Park. To think of all the supporters who have entered the ground through these iconic and historic pieces of our history!
A brand new entrance is to built which will house a new large Macron Club Shop and office space, and to each side, new turnstiles will be installed which will allow fans an easier and faster entrance into the ground and with new dedicated disabled entry points as well, we hope we will welcome thousands of supporters into Gayfield for years to come.
Gayfield Park will always be our home, and we are working hard and investing to improve it and will continue to do so each season.
We are all excited and our supporters who pass every day will get to see the progress being made in real time!
C’mon the Lichties!

Should be a good game. I have enjoyed a number of the Championship games this season.

The Pars have been on a few times. Each time I have watched them I thought they played well but look where they are in the league. Morton too. Outplayed Killie but finished with a draw. Funny old game.

Just noticed that ICT v Killie on Friday night, could be the small chance Arbroath have of getting the title back in their hands.

ICT are on a good run of form so got to have some hope they can do something against Killie.

Quite looking forward to this, not usually my cup of tea but this is probably "second" last chance saloon for Arbroath to win the title, combined with playing Kilmarnock next Friday night.

If Kilmarnock win tonight it's over, then it's down to the play off.

They did, actually played quite well after going a goal down.

So, the ball, or title, is back in Arbroaths hands.

First things first, win tomorrow against QoS then it's the game of the season, in the Championship, next Friday down at Kilmarnock.

Please win tomorrow. 🙏
