I seem to remember the Northbank gutters overflowing it was raining that much. The OP does mention the ball sliding under Ray Clemence in the mud....................... Looks like there's a previous thread from 2008. Quote from the thread. You're probably right then mate, as I said I would have been a couple of weeks away from turning 8, I went with my best pal and our 2 Dad's we stood in the away end near the main stand, my memories of the game itself are quite vague, seeing the Liverpool fans and Kenny Dalglish is about most I can remember.. shull
Marvelous occasion Wonderful players on show Top class Liverpool players and the Famous Fergie's Furies. I am thinking we had yellow numbers . I am not sure. It may have been another match .
shull
I do remember most of the the " Liverpool " fans were actually supporters of Blue Scum FC ( deceased) from Ibrox. They took over the away side of the fence and belted out their sectarian shite throughout the game. Don't know what the connection between both clubs was back then. HSS
We wore yellow numbers as an experiment to see if they would show up better under the floodlights
