You do a disservice to the millions of hard working people in the UK. I'm trying to stay away from the other excellent benefits the NHS get that millions don't, I'm focusing on this ludicrous decision to give them a totally pointless holiday.

What has that got to do with anything? IF you had any sort of compassion for other people you'd realise the sort of work many of these workers do and the pressures that come with it. You may not care about other folk but some of these workers live every day watching people they are caring for wilt in front of them. Needing their care 24/7. I can't imagine the mental, and physical, strain this puts on them. To begrudge them the same privilege as  the rest of the working population is, IMO, petty. But, I'm sorry to say, unsurprising.

It's not as if NHS workers don't get enough holidays as it is, considerably more than the private sector.
