We are marginally less pish than first game of the season last year.

I've given up watching the TdF, and won't be particularly interested in the forthcoming Olympics, either.
Doping scandals and other forms of corruption take their toll on sport, and unless I have an irrational and emotional hook such as that with Saints, I find cynicism (or scepticism at best) seeping in.
I can fully appreciate what clean, committed sports folks achieve, but, as sifting them out from the dubious crowd becomes increasingly difficult, I can't really be arsed.

I know Tom personally. A great lad, his parents have kept his feet on the ground. (thus no tattoo sleeves or beard lol). He is a two footed player so can play on either wing. I think we have still to see the best of him. Very glad he is a Saint for now. I wish it was a full season loan though.

I suffer from a progressive debilitating disease ,when Wee Johnny and my self began coming to Saints around 3 years ago I was perfectly capable of looking after the wee man
Now my wife is my carer or anyone else can be. i am 68 and 15 years ago I was still playing 6s.
I will loan any of you a wheelchair some time just  to see what it feels like when you deteriorate as I have.Its no joke.
I have a bit a laugh with friends ,Shakin Stevens, the shuffler and others are a few names. when you don't know someone personally, thats different.
Disability comes in  many forms visible and invisible so remember if someone acts strangely don't abuse them.

28th September 1954 - 17th June 2016

Following the passing of my Dad Thomas (Tam) McGarry on Friday 17th June 2016 age 61, we would like to inform everybody about his funeral arrangements for those who would like to pay their respects.

My dad will be taken into St Margaret's R.C Church Thursday 23rd June at 6pm followed by a small service.

The funeral will take place Friday 24th June 10.00am, St Margaret's R.C Church, 49 Graham St, Johnstone.

The funeral will then proceed to Broomward Cemetery, Elderslie.

Everyone is also invited to join us afterwards at St. Mirren Park, Paisley.

On behalf of the family we are thankful for the endless messages of love and support that has been sent and the memories you have shared over the last few days, it really has been incredible

Thanks everyone for their kind words.Tam donated his organs which enabled others the gift of life.I am so proud to call him my best mate.He was so upbeat about our bid to buy the club and as such we cannot let this opportunity go.I loved this guy so much and trust our fans to reach our goal.Theres only one Tam McGarry.He never left my side !!!!!

Let's be honest, Thompson would have to have acting skills worthy of an annual Oscar to have reacted the way he did to scoring in the cup semi and finals had he not been a St Mirren fan.
Barry Lavety was his neighbour and a hero figure when he was younger, and I'm pretty sure that the big guy's old man has confirmed often enough that his lad is a Saints man.

Alex Rae has seriously improved us over Ian Murray. Alex Rae's St Mirren are no longer easy push-overs. Alex Rae's St Mirren have turned around a SHITE home record. Alex Rae's St Mirren have actually played in a couple of excellent entertaining games recently against Hibs & Morton. Alex Rae's St Mirren have me actually looking forward to going to FeegieField again.
