  1. I've got that now, cast to my TV.
  2. I'm signed in as me, ie season ticket holder. On Firefox and Chrome I get an error message "Video player failed to load" and on Edge I get a lovely picture of the ground, no sound or video? WTF!
  3. The transfer tribunal pre-dated Bosman and has largely fallen out of use post Bosman, except when a player under 24 moves clubs when their contract ends. FIFA with the support FIFPRO plan to do away with them altogether and apply a 1% levy to all transfers and introduce a flat rate development fee payed from the levy fund? Good luck on that one if it comes into force.
  4. Billy's contract was up and he was free to sign for another club, subject to a fee determined by the two clubs involved or the dreaded transfer tribunal. We had offered a new contract, Aberdeen offered much better wages and a higher profile. Not quite what Bosman ushered in which created the huge gaps in football finances.
  5. Aye, but they probably still owe Liverpool most of the £7M they paid for him and there are sell-on clauses apparently? 🤣
  6. Why stop at The Wicker Man?
  7. Mind you, I don't know what all the fuss is about with the prison conditions in South America?
  8. Sneezing! At my age you find it hard to raise a smile?
  9. I had login problems on Friday (the reset) and emailed [email protected] a couple of times and got very prompt replies. I had no problems on Saturday other than first half sound. Picture was first class except when I dropped a tissue on the laptop touchpad and the whole thing disappeared. Most people I've spoken to since Saturday had a similar experience to mine. So over to the IT literate to explain the good and the bad from the same stream. 🆘️
  10. Given the moronic behaviour of joe public since the easing of lockdown I hae ma douts about crowds returning anytime soon. Yesterday's announcements from UK and Scottish Governments were almost in tandem so something in the numbers is spooking them. Sporting crowds are an easy target given the option of live tv coverage. I fear we might have to get used to the current version of lockdown for some time to come. 😢
  11. What they said. ⬆️
  12. I've just had an email from the support desk telling me that my password is my season ticket number. I changed that yesterday.
  13. Me too. At least it's their fault it would appear and not mine. It wouldn't let me send them a message as my username was too long? I just cut it down a bit and got a message sent response. If I get anything back I'll post it hear. Or indeed here.
  14. Just as well that we had moved Bobby Adamson on by that time. When he was a sub (or substituted) he could sometimes be seen having a fly ciggie in the tunnel during the game.
  15. The saddest thing about that is I probably attended my first match when it looked like that. 🧓
  16. I don't think he's had a club for two years!
  17. I much prefer if football does its talking on the pitch!
  18. This is the problem when you have two associations running the game. It should be a single entity and probably as national FA's seem sacrosanct under FIFA it could be that the SFA is the governing body and the SPFL is just one of the organisations reporting to it, along with say, Junior Football, Women's Football, Youth Football, etc. Just a thought. 🤔
  19. Aye, but if he's his father's son he would have a team in the east end of Glasgow! ☘️
  20. Of all the stupid things that Stubbs did in his less than 3 months in charge the sale of Ross Stewart to Ross County was by far the stupidest and frankly amateurish decision he made. It's now wonder that JR, who brought him to us, is now trying to lure him to Hibs (if they can find the money obviously).
  21. Read it again!
  22. The Likely Lads was good, but Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads was brilliant! It was such a pity that James Bolam (arguably the best tv actor of my generation) and Rodney Bewes fell out not long after the spin off movie was filmed as it might have run for more than 2 series.
  23. I remember being in Germany in the late 60's and visiting Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. It was a strange and eerie place but the most striking thing for me was the number of Germans almost dragging their children through the permanent exhibition showing a very graphic depiction of the horrors which were carried out by Germany, and, translated by my relatives who attached to of the army of occupation, were telling them "we did this and it must never happen again". That was the first permanent exhibition and memorial to the atrocities and it has been extended over the years and similar memorials can now be found all over Germany and they continue to honour the victims but also educate the German people. Imagine if nothing had been done to keep this history alive. You can't ignore history, you can't erase it nor can you deny it. But you must learn from it. I'm all in favour of Prof. Palmer's suggestions that plaques be placed on or adjacent to statues and street names explaining the background and history behind them.
  24. You may have watched the Westminster "why are we so good" Briefing earlier this evening so you might have seen some discussion on this so apologies if I'm covering old ground.
