Thinking we were away to Raith Rovers that weekend my wife booked a cottage for the weekend in Cupar.This would have meant travelling back on the Saturday and returning after the game.Early return home on the Sunday is better now but would have preferred the 3pm.Nothing to lose in this one and plenty to gain although my thoughts are more with the game at Ayr.

Honest and frank as always Stevie.As i said to you on Sunday i had my first taste of the St Mirren fans hate machine directed at a family member.Its not nice and very hard to take.People fail to realise that they are only kids and it does affect their confidence and can send them into a shell.They then dont demand the ball as they are afraid of losing it and getting further abuse.My message to Saints fans would be to encourage the kids and let them flourish.We will only get out this mess by sticking together. My message to young Stephen is to get the head down and work hard till the end of the season and you will earn your promotion. My message to Stevie Senior is dont let the minority get you down.Hopefully the wee man will be a hero in the coming weeks and months.We need your experience and enthusiasm with the development squad and dont think your hard work has gone unnoticed..See you Saturday Stevie.

Are they not the same person? The contractor is currently on holiday but its one of the parts we are waiting on.Should be here anytime and wont take long to install.

Waiting on one piece of the equipment required to repair the system to arrive.He,s currently lying on a beach in Tenerife.

Specialist contractors working on both and Gordon has been in constant contact with both.Its not been fixed but they are in the process of being fixed.Hope this helps.

I was leaving my mates house in Ardgowan Brae around 1976 when i was pulled up by 4 guys from the Hunterhill team.On hearing that i was from Glenburn i was informed by the leader of what was going to happen to me.My father always told me to hit the one who was mouthing off and the rest would be so shocked i would be able to make my getaway.His words rang in my head and i duly lamped the interrogator.Outcome was that i was leathered by the other 3.After i had uncurled myself from the ball i had rolled into i thought,some fatherly advise that was.When i got home and told him what happened he nearly wet himself laughing.I did gain some respect from the Hungryhill Team after that though as most of them were Saints fans.(unfortunately none of them were there on the night in question).

Its obvious that you were instructed to put this out last night Div but what i fail to understand is why we could not wait till after Saturdays game before this was announced.The fans were buoyant after Saturday and this deflates them quicker than the dome.Its not the end of the world though and i,m sure that the signings you talk about will be top drawer.Some of the names being banded about to me are not.

Clarkson was by far the best player on the park at the development game last week and deserved his chance yesterday.I thought he used his experience well and was unlucky with his chance but hey ho lets criticise him because theres nothing else to criticise on an absolutely wonderful team effort.

I will tell you what i know. Management were impressed with what they saw and signed Stelios.A two footed player who can play in numerous positions.Whoosh major scoop. Part of the structure is torn and requires to be repaired before it can be reinflated.This work i,m informed is carried out by the same company who repair curtainsiders.As in everything i,m seeing at the club just now it aint a quick fix but a long term fix we are implementing.No more chewing gum and string which can only be better in the long run if we have the finances to sustain it.

John will get a move from Hibs and it will be for a lot of money.I just hope we are not the richest club in league 1.

Disappointing to hear lots of talk banded about that only players,board etc should know about.Private conversations with individuals should be kept that way until the deals are finalised as it can be unsettling for all involved and we dont require any side issues at the moment.Its fair to say though that everybody and their granny knows that at least one player is moving on this week.I would like to wish him all the best.Great family and St Mirren through and through.

I can only speak for Steven.He was well thought of and looked after in Dingwall.At his wedding in Vegas the majority of guests were ex County players and it showed me how close they were as a unit up there.A great bunch of lads including Alex Burke and Sean Higgins.The best of the bunch though was Jim Lauchlan who was an absolute gent.Jason will have no problem settling in up there and will no doubt be housed in Inverness which is hardly in the sticks.Stay out of Johnny Foxes and he will be fine.
