My old  mad mate Gordie, had him around 1982, first test for Gordie, who had actually been driving since he was 15. Taylor pulled him over in Neilston Rd, told him to head back to centre as no point in continuing he had failed . Gordie said " Get out my f??king car, you can f??king walk back to centre". He then left him drove home and got a visit from the police about 3 hours later. Lost his provisional for a year

Nothing, of course.  It falls off the edge and with no gravity is turned into mist.

The great A’ Thuin is eternally swimming in the most infinitesimal yet liquid of seas.
As it swims onwards the mists emerge from the shadow of disc world and up towards the Hub, its centre...
    and doubtless falls as rain....

Please don't tell me Messrs Atkinson, Stewart and Henderson were/are died in the wool supporters.
Naughty of you not to complete the story of Reg Brearley. Our white knight Stewart Gilmour won the day. The majority of shareholders did not vote to
sell a controlling interest in the  club but the Directors with majority shareholding power did. Sounds a bit like what the concern is now!!
Do not understand your statement " St Mirren fans have a history of getting it wrong. We have been in existence since 1876, so must have been doing something right.

Incredible stuff from Speedo Mick - Walked 1,000 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End. He set off in December and arrived at Land’s End today. Not only was he walking this, but he was doing it in just speedos, and has had to battle through both Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis never mind the cold temperatures you’ll find at this time of year.

He hit his £250,000 target as he reached Truro yesterday, and the standing figure is now over £322,000. He came through Bodmin a few days ago (the town where I live) and he was met by the local fire crew.
Mick was walking for Leave The Light On, a charity specialising in helping those who feel isolated.
Mick himself at one point was homeless, and he battled against alcoholism and depression. Mick is proof that with the right help and support, lives can be turned around, and Mick has achieved something most of us never will.
    Mick’s fundraising page is here.
A frankly stunning effort from Mick, congratulations that man.

The right to veto  "any major decisions at the club". in my view; and that of many others I would imagine, is a safeguard that precludes knee jerk reactions to potential future events within the club.  I welcome an organisation with a history of surviving and prospering (in difficult times) and whilst I appreciate that Kibble is not here primarily to aid St MIrren; in my opinion it is not here to do it any harm either.  As many have pointed out the Kibble directors have a duty of care to their organisation and it would be ludicrous to imagine they bought their way into a football club simply to sabotage it.  The scenario that they outlined in respect of adding to their training options for their clients through being partners with the club would appear to be win win for both parties, if they can reduce costs and improve output  / quality through their training programmes and bring their expertise in business management to the club, ultimately it should make St Mirren a leaner and meaner business, maximising resources is and has been at the heart of Kibbles operational management for many years.  Will they interfere in 'football business'? why would they?  Would they have issues should the current board wish to mortgage the club / stadium to banks? (hypothetical scenario here, so don't go ballistic).  Yes I rather think they would, and such a scenario is why I think they are a good partner.

I think now that the outcome is settled we need to get behind it.
However, we need real strength of leadership from Smisa going into the new model. We need people with a wealth of experience to lead the club and to not allow SMFC to be dominated by Kibble.
I’ve concerns that Smisa could have been overly influenced to date by GLS. Some may agree or disagree with that. I think we have a challenge to try and ensure that doesn’t happen with Kibble as a minority shareholder.
I’m all for Kibble bringing business expertise to the table. In fact, one of my main concerns with fan ownership was that we may not have the people, skills and experience to operate effectively. If Kibble can help with that then great - but it’s supposed to be a fan owned club so Kibble can’t be allowed to dominate proceedings. If we have a fans rep acting as a bystander, in awe of £30m turnover partner who has a big voice, then what’s the point? We’d have been been better just allowing the club to be sold into private hands in that instance.
    A challenge for all involved.
I hope it all goes well - and mostly to the benefit of SMFC.
