This is the cummulation of over 8 years of hurt for Donga.
Back in 04/05 he started a thread on this forum after he'd witnessed a game at Love Street, declaring that St. Mirren were shit and heading for the Second Division. He declared that Morton would pass us on the way up from the Second Division and he'd give us his Second Division roadmap.
    What happened?
    * We won the First Division and the Challenge Cup in 05/06
    * Are now entering our 8th season in the SPL
    * Were League Cup runners up in 09/10
    * Won the League Cup in 12/13
    * Cleared £3 million of debt
    * Built a brand new ground
    * Won the Renfrewshire Cup 8 times
    Enjoy the moment Donga... :

At least our club will still be here (and stronger) ten years or so down the line.

I'm very pleased with this signing. There is no element of "what the f**k have we signed here then?" around this. He is a very very good performer at this level, he is a dangerous player AND he can f**king defend. He will be like all the decent elements of the johhny foreigner types we have had in recent seasons and is a level above the likes of Carey in that position.
Very good signing. Hope he does well for us and stays fit.

There isn't. Norway was the state being talked about and this is how they choose tooperate. They have decided that the state should build up a huge sum of money while also robbing the citizens of their hard earned cash and then attempting to redistribute it "fairly". It may work there, I don't know and I have no intention of ever living there either. Scots wouldn't put up with being taxed highly, we simply arent used to it and wouldn't take it at all well.
I have friends that work in some of the gulf states where the oil is owned by whatever geezer is heading up the state. So I am well aware that it is possible to be wealthy from oil without having a suffocating state system and huge personal taxation like Norway.

The rail system sprang up without the need for government money in the first place because it was a brilliant, fast way to move goods and people about.
    Then we all got cars.

Why should the rural communities receive subsidies from the urban communities? If they want to live in the arse end of nowhere they should have to pay more to send and receive their mail. Simple.
The Royal Mail is an uncompetitive disaster, the sooner it is subject to the rigours of the free market the better.

The populations on the island suffer from costs of getting basic food supplies to them as well. Its one of the downsides about living in remote areas I'm afraid.
I have no idea why they should expect everyone else to subsidise letter delivery to them anyway? To an extent, even after privatisation, there will be a bit of absorbtion of costs by the company when it comes to delivering letters. but they may pay more, they may not. They already pay more for parcels because it costs more to get stuff there.
Rural folk pay council tax for thins like street lighting and pavement maintainence and whatever "stuff" the local council decides its providing, even though their access to these sort of things may be non existent. With some people, its a choice they have made to live remote. Others are born into it. Tough titty I say. Its not as if letter delivery is anything remotely like on the increase, or ever will be again, all they are missing out on will be spam mail from Dominos pizza and Farmfoods. Maybe the odd birthday card from Auntie Morag if she happens to be a tight fisted old witch (assuming the postie hasn't rifled it beforehand for money)

Is that with or without inclusion of subsidy? If a business cant make a profit without subsidy then its not turning a profit and its not a viable business.
How does it envisage paying the unfunded pensions too? The sooner its off taxpayers hands, the better.

I hope Hearts are duly relegated. They deserve to punished, and if it means a season of crap football, followed by relegation to the first division then fair enough. When I was a kid, Hearts were in the first division due to the fact they had financial difficulties. Up until Mercer arrived and sorted them out anyway.
This is coming to a few other "big" clubs and frankly, they deserve it.
If you look at it from the fifteen point deduction ask yourself how many points IN FRONT of prudent clubs like us, the financially doped clubs were starting each season as they overleveraged on ridiculous wages to attract players we couldn't have afforded and they couldn't actually afford either.
It is good news for Thistle too, they SHOULD be able to finish in the play off spot now and, frankly, they will bring a bigger support to us than Hearts do, and we will go through to them in decent numbers. Its better for the league. The more east coast pish we can get rid of and replaced by clubs nearer us, the better.

This is great news. The environmental impact on animals is bad.
Can you now tell me if the same "save the wildlife" thing applies to the windfarm industry which has sprung up at mega subsidised by the taxpayers expense?
Would you like me to start copying and pasting about the numbers of wild birds slain by the rotors of these vast useless heaps of failure that are springing up everywhere and are about to cause the lights to go out across the UK?
All in the name of saving the planet of course.

I know how the environ MENTALISTS view things like plastic bags. In Ireland this has been attempted and it has actually led to more of the non biodegradeable bin liner type black bags being used.
This is simply a tax dressed up as some sort of save the planet shite so that soft in the head bunny hugging leftarded wankers can applaud it.
Oil is a natural substance. Everything eventually biodegrades, sometimes it take a bit longer, but it will still return to dust.

I do the weekly shopping. Here is what I do.
I go to supermarket, I put goods in trolley and go to checkout. I let the wifie scan them and I put them back into the trolley (no poly bags in sight). I pay up and f**k off to the car.
I have a couple of heavy duty cardboard boxes in the boot of the car. I fill them up straight out the trolley. I close the boot. I take the trolley back. I drive home.

Its just a lame excuse to further tax people into poverty.
Lets face it the packaging regulations for food in particular are driven by health and safety and food hygiene laws which are EU directives which are then gold plated by UK civil servants and then rubber stamped as law in the various parliaments.
If the packaging is actually to blame, then surely we can aim a kick a the people responsible for the ridiculous amounts of packaging now required.
You can barely even buy fish and chips without it now being packaged in some sort of polystyrene box thing. Its all very well blaming the shopkeepers/supermarkets. But they have to comply with the food hygiene laws as passed in the various parliaments.
It is really the EU we need to be looking very closely at and why it has been able to remove sovereignty from the people and from our parliament.
The plastic bag thing is still a load of shite that will prevent nothing at all. It is simply a tax.

It's an EU directive being rubber stamped throughout all the various parliaments and devolved assemblies. Just like 80% of all law being passed both at Westminster and Holyrood.
Our politicians are simply faceless stooges which give a veneer of respectability to the lack of democratic process going on.
As for plastic bags? It will do nothing, it will solve nothing and it is a further tax being added to the cost of living.
Anyone that actually welcomes the opportunity to be taxed more, is, in my view, a stupid c**t.
