Who cares, he's found his level in the seaside leagues. There's a reason why he's at Alloa.
A cup winning captain, who done an good job, but then proceeded to let the team down with ridiculous retrospective bans during our relegation season, and the completely inability to tread the disciplinary line when he did play, never mind his complete failings at coaching. People cheered when he came off the bench, and ploughed into a player unnecessarily, got booked, then could do nothing the rest of the game. Potentially the most overrated player in recent memory.

He was done, he's gone, but yet he's becoming a better player every passing week.

For a player who had limited passing ability and general tactical awareness, and didn't contribute much for two seasons, he's talked as if he was one of the greatest holding players we've had.

He did have a couple of decent seasons with better players around him but there was a massive drop in form which everyone ignores. Never mind his disciplinary record and coaching ability...

Running about and clattering players doesn't make a good defensive player. He was awful for leaving massive spaces for the opposition to exploit when he decided to chase the ball no matter where it was.

Thomson and Murray where much better midfielders in their prime than what Goodwin ever was.

Players not supporting attacks has nothing to do with a manager. It's down to the players.
It's laziness and the lack of fundamental tactical awareness that plagues our players.

Cut in on his right and slammed it in near post from 20 yards. Keeper should have done better, but it's 2-0.

    Quick thought about pay gates.

Would it not be possible to use a QR code on smart phones to replace tickets.

So someone could go onto the website buy their ticket and download it straight to their phone?

Quick note for Sutton. Brilliant to see him back. Showed his quality throughout. Livingston always put him in double coverage, we need to be aware of this and try to use set plays to take advantage of the fact.

gc_SMFC reacted to div in The Tam McGarry Young Player of the Year Award
For the past 13 years we have awarded our Player of the Year trophy at the end of every season. It's an award completely voted for by the fans and it's always been very popular and we hope it's one that is coveted by the players.
Starting from this season we have decided to launch a Young Player of the Year award to go alongside this and we are this very proud to announce that this will be named in memory of Saints fan Tam McGarry who sadly passed away this summer.
The naming of the award seems fitting given that Tam's son Steven came up through the ranks of the St.Mirren Youth setup, with his crowning moment in the stripes coming in that quite unforgettable season of 99-00.
Tam was one of the biggest Saints fans you could ever hope to meet, and again this award will be voted for by the fans toward the end of the current campaign and every year after that going forward.
Speaking to Steven this morning about our idea he said, "I think that would be very nice and very fitting, and as a family would be very proud that he would have an award named after him so thanks. We also appreciate all the support from all the fans over the last few weeks we have been all taken aback with all the message pictures and stories."
So there you go, the Tam McGarry Young Player of the Year Award is here. Let's hope the young guns come up trumps and give us plenty of options this season!

Quinn was one of our best players last season. It's no coincidence that him coming into the team saw us win more games. It's not Quinn who will be the problem, it will be the absolute f**king morons in our support who don't understand what they are watching.

gc_SMFC reacted to Stuart Dickson in Hillsborough - A Suggestion
I would have said much the same thing about the kind of people on this thread who think that a fitting and appropriate tribute to 96 dead football fans would be to play a song that has clearly and not so cleverly been chosen to illicit an angry response goading the opposition. Then I remembered it's Liverpool FC we're talking about. The club whose fans UEFA claimed in 2007 are the worst behaved in Europe. A club who despite everything in their history - the Heysel disaster in 1985, the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, and despite being banned from Europe for 6 years, were involved in 25 violent clashes across Europe from 2003 to 2007. A club that despite suffering 96 deaths from crushing in an overcrowded pen at Hillsborough took 40,000 fans to Athens with a ticket allocation of only 17,000. Fans who tried to evade police cordons and who attempted to gain admittance to the stadium with forged tickets and even without tickets. And fans who stole tickets off children amongst their OWN support.
So in retrospect knock yourself out lads. I don't know if it's fitting in memory of the 96 who died at Hillsborough, but it's certainly the kind of stupid, tacky and cheap tribute that would be fitting to the fans of Liverpool FC.

Good to see our manager scouting future opponents. Seriously I don't give a toss what Rae gets up to in his spare time as long as he stays within the law.

Whilst it's not great, I don't believe that anyone actually gets annoyed at this, or mainly actually cares.
It's just a reason to lambaster two players who haven't been great for us this season.

I dunno, got to be honest, the last few times he's come on I thought he looked well off the pace, bit like Thommo to be honest. Great servant to the club, and an absolute legend, but right now I think I'd rather have Quinn in the team in all honesty.

Disagree with that. Any time I've seen him play since his injury he's looked nowhere near mobile enough.
I'd be surprised if he's playing full time next season.
