^not at all. Saints were a joy to watch at times in the first half with some great passages of play. Not enough cutting edge but being behind at ht was an injustice. Second half Saints did most of the pressing but queens were always dangerous. Fully deserved the win and a great strike to win it and sent the fans mental.
Every single player came over at the end with clenched fists raised. What a huge win to get the monkey off our backs and a great performance from the boys especially in the trying circumstances

Well it's obvious something happened to make Jack Baird react. It's not as if the young lad has a track record of this behaviour.
I was saddened by the reaction of some fans on here wanting Jack severely dealt with before understanding the facts. We need to get right behind our young lads.

Falkirk will never discipline Miller, even if guilty.
They are the Club who got fined for fielding an ineligible player against us.
They were made to replay the Match against us and guess what?
Aye, the Cnuts charged us to get admission again meaning we paid their fecking fine.

If he has been bitten , I hope the club get behind the player and ensure as many people as possible are made aware of the allegations against the piece of shit that is Miller.  Biting &  spitting in my book are the acts of a coward.

I've waited til today before commenting, didn't want to criticise the young lad too much for what he did.
Far more experienced players than Jack have let their team down in a similar fashion (violent conduct) and went on to learn from it.
He shouldn't have hit out but after hearing his claims of getting bit and seeing the images it does look like he's telling the truth here.
He's young, he's inexperienced and will learn from this.
It's easy for us or even some of his fellow pros to say he shouldn't have hit him after this but who knows how any of us would have reacted to a bite like that.
He may not be the best centre half in the word but he's our centre half and like it or not we will probably need his services before the season's out.
I'm sure he regrets his actions, time to get behind the lad.

For my first post ever on here, I'm not gonna read through the pages of pish written about the squad or individuals. Today I watched us lose and clapped us off the park. We did not deserve that. With a centre 3 instead of 2 in midfield, our pace and skill out wide, we're good. I turned round, complaining about the freekick being given against Jack. 2 seconds later my dad went "Wow Jack". He watched him punch the boy on the ground. That was at least the second foul given for their forward bending over and our centre half going over the top of him. Something must of happened for Jack to react. It's not excusable, but I want to see it. Cannot fault a single player for effort. Get Shankland, Walsh and Hardie out of there. A new beast in midfield, it's hard to find a Goody. But Mallan and Magennis in front of a Goody type would be brilliant. We'll finish above Dumbarton, Ayr and Dunfermline.

I can only assume someone connected with the club sold their soul to the devil during the 2013 League Cup run.
We could release our own football bloopers DVD this Christmas.

Indeed. It's not as if this is a 'rare' mistake by Langfield. He costs us goals virtually every single game.

Morton very good last night, but would agree that it was by far the poorest St Mirren performance I've seen in 25+ years of watching derby matches.
Looks like a major January overhaul is needed to avoid relegation. Genuinely wouldn't want to see St Mirren go down.. to be replaced by the likes of Alloa/Livi, not good for the league at all.

I'd agree with that. Over the last few years there have been plenty of supposed "top quality" players playing in the Scottish Leagues who have fallen down through the divisions and who struggle now at Junior and non league level. You only need to look at the likes of Garry O'Connor, Gary Kenneth, Kevin Kyle and Craig Beattie for recent examples of players finding their standard when their athletic ability slips slightly whether through drink, drugs or injury. At St Mirren you can look at players like Brian McGinty, Callum Ball, or Gareth Wardlaw amongst many others.
Having watched lads play at youth level who returned from pro youth football, or who were never picked up, it appears to me that the difference between success and failure can be as simple or as ridiculous as how fast you can run as an 8 - 10 year old, how early you develop physically, or how tall your Dad is. On Sunday for example I was watching one young lad - an ex player of mine - who missed out on a pro youth contract simply because his single parent mum can't afford a car to get him to pro youth academies after school, absolutely dominating and making mugs of far older and stronger players in the amateur football leagues. One of his 17 year old team mates heads out to Florida for a football scholarship at the end of this school year. Those two lads need a bit of fitness work and some conditioning but I'm sure given that both would be seen as assets to clubs in the Championship.

BIG BEN got a reaction from BuddieinEK in Flexible Season Tickets - I am ready to buy - Are You?
The easiest way is to just have stand specific seats on a first come basis. They're are single seats all around the stadium amongst the pockets of fans that are nigh impossible to fill. That's OK on a one off basis for a big game but people won't buy a season ticket for them. We have 4000 spare seats most weeks. You could even have your season tickets designated by stand and section. This would encourage people to turn up earlier and help build up the atmosphere. Problem is some people won't give up their seats. Circumstances change, you have kids, grandkids, new friends who want to come and can't sit beside you unless you give up your seat amongst your current friends creating yet another single seat which is difficult to sell

Lots of posters would say that Lambert had been rubbish for us for a season or two and to take whatever cash was on offer and watch him fade into obscurity as another young one trick pony player who never fulfilled his initial potential! (And then he went on to win a Champions League winner's medal, captain Celtic and Scotland...)

I had a thought about what the club could do that's thinking outside the box a wee bit. I know some might not like the idea, especially ST holders but here it goes anyway. Could the club possibly try and help out the homeless punters or maybe even families in poverty in the Renfrewshire area by handing out vouchers that let an adult or kid into the ground for free, maybe even throw in a free pie and bovril and free travel to the game.
I know the first thing that springs to mind is cost but what if there are bucket collections put on at a home game prior to it to make sure there is enough money raised to make sure the caterers aren't out of pocket. There are already charities at most home games collecting money at the gates and this is a charitable gesture to people who wouldn't normally be able to afford a wee day out to the football (I know things on the pitch probably won't help put a smile on their faces ). It's not for every home game either.
I think it would generate a could bit of media interest, especially on the back of the homeless World Cup which was held in Glasgow recently. Who knows maybe an under privileged kid would catch the football bug and go on to play for Saints and be a superstar or make a good bit of money later in life and buy the club. Could even try and get the Renfrewshire council involved or Mhari Black and get a local bus company to help transporting people if there was actually any interest.
Dunno just a wee idea that popped into my head, it's a twist on handing out tickets to school kids and the coffee initiative where people pay a bit extra so the under privileged/homeless can get a coffee too. There are still plenty of seats to be filled at home games.

I am not a member but I think it would be good if it could be open up to everyone. I drop my nephew off for the panda club then head back up the road, or pub. Would be easier to just walk round and go in for a few pre match but can't at the moment
