Got my ticket this morning looking forward to this game. 

Just to put it in simple terms, the irn bru cup is one load of sh*te & I’m quite happy we are out of it. Bringing colt teams into it has made it a total farce IMO. Back normal duties this weekend I’m happy with that.

Most fans couldn't give a shiny shite about this competition. Welcome distraction when we were struggling last season, chance to play into some form, but this season we have bigger fish to fry.

Took the chance to rest some players, give some fringe players a game and throw in a youth for his debut. The attendance showed how much people care about this...

I'm not going to criticise the team we're going to have to grind out results like this over the season when we're not at our best. I went down to applaud the team as usual at the end of the game then this older guy ran over shouting & abusing the team because we weren't at our best. I just looked at him & said calm down we won & are at the top of the league. He was still ranting. Some people forget how far we've came over a short period with Jack Ross. COYS

Thankfully it's Jack Ross that picks the team , Samson included . Last time I looked we're second in the league .

QOS had a 10 spell in the first half then we took control. 2nd half they came into the game but we were already 3-0 up. Every player played their part. IMO an easy win, some saints fans never happy. It's the same on st mirren page on FB.

Don't understand the "we played poorly in the second half" chat going on. I don't think it's fair to assume we are going to run over QotS for 90 mins and beat them 6 or 7 nil. They're a more than decent team. At 3-0 down they readjusted and were practically playing 4 up top, throwing everything at us. Saints then readjusted their style of play to cope very well with (almost) all of their efforts. Very happy to see both an excellent attacking and defensive performance from the whole team.

While there's nothing wrong saying we're far from perfect I'm sure most would have taken 15 points fro the first 7 games, and we have played all the pre season title contenders.
The vast majority of posts confirm this, a few areas of concern but we beat a team who, before the game, were seen as very dangerous, fairly comfortably and with far from our recognised full team.
Oh, stay away from the St Mirren Facebook page, it makes the forum look sensible.
