Of course it wasn't rosy. I'd say there must of been a chance of Lennon getting sacked after losing 6 on the trot. We only won in Dundee and Paisley in the league until we beat Killie away. Away form was shocking. Losing 8 goals to County, 4 against Aberdeen and 4 in 1 half against Celtic is unacceptable. 16 goals in they 3 and a half home games is very poor. Our league campaign was over as soon as we beat Celtic in January at Hampden. We were about 15 points ahead of Dundee maybe more. Everyone was focused on the final, fans, management, the players and even the board. We won the final, we all partied for the rest of the season...some fans stil partying!! But the manager and players know the hard work begins again, they can't live off that cup win. We have made 2 excellent signings and let go some of the ones who weren't good enough. Its a fresh start for all, just wish some fans would relax and not try to shoot ourselves in the foot, just like the week before the cup final when Dundee beat our reserves.

If any of them were quality they'd be onto bigger things than they currently are.

Guy,Imrie,Parkin and Carey didn't perform well enough, fair enough Parkin was always going to be a back up but the other 3 won't be missed. We are using their wages to bring in a couple of better players. This year it will be quality over quantity, its risky with a small squad but I believe we have a few youth players capable of stepping up to the mark if needed. Grainger is much better than Dummett and Carey. Harkins will contribute more than Imrie did.... hopefully

Totally agree with that! But I will also add Aberdeen got humped off Peterhead, ICT drew with Raith Rovers, Thistle lost to Arbroath . Some fans never understand pre-season results don't matter its all about fitness and trying out new tactics. To lose 12 goals is a tad worrying but its fcking pre season. If we lose 12 goals in the first 3 SPL games we have a right to be angry/worried.

To be honest McGowan took a right bad one in the last friendly in Paisley, it was in the first 5 mins and looked a potential leg breaker. Hopefully we see good football and lots of goals with no bad injuries for either team. Oh and a bit of cold wind/snow blizzard would be great

Danny also managed to sign Gowser up for another season. Don't think any other diddy team will top that, maybe if Killie sign Boyd and Motherwell sign McFadden but thats the only 2 that can trump our signing. I'd say his first season in charge was the worst, Higdon's goals saved us. You must have a very short memory if you think last season was worse than watching a team with guys like Lynch,Wardlaw,McQuade,McCluskey in it.

Scored the first goal in our historic up run, his season didn't pan out the way everyone expected after an electric start. It's sad the way his last game ended. Not the greatest to ever wear the stripes but deserves respect for being part of last season.

Ye your right. Don't normally get food at games but when I have done the pies have been either cold and dripping with grease or scorching and burnt to the tray. Think Cosmos chippy should get a stall at the stadium

Screw the small local companies for charging £2.50 for a pie when it should cost no more than 80p. If the club makes more money off it why not

No mistaking the first few away games are tough but the first 3 home games are winnable. If we want to finish high in the league we need to go to places like ICT & County and win. The Christmas period is pretty much perfect for us, couldn't of picked it better really.

Ye, maybe we have got them at a discounted price. Thats what happens when you want to play a big team though, plenty of fans have been moaning for years about getting a 'glamour' friendly at home. Pretty sure County will be charging more than usual for their friendly with Man U. Brentford have given Celtic fans 2 stands for their game, the Brentford chairman said its to make sure they make enough money to cover the fee Celtic wanted.

Suppose Baird did bite us on the arse but he's never went on to greater things than us, relegated last season and has signed for Thistle this season. He bloomed into a decent first division striker but i think that shows how poor the First Division is rather than him being a good player. I hope they do well McGinn was superb for Dumbarton going by the fans, got to respect him for wanting to play every week. Think Smith could do with another year of development with us, maybe we could have loaned him out for a few months. Some might even have part time jobs too, I know some youth players in the past did.

Out of all the youth guys we have released/lost has anyone came back to haunt us? Nobody has went on to bigger clubs than StMirren. Remember the uproar when we released McCay,Mckenna,Baird,Molloy and even McShane last season. Normally they trickle their way down the leagues and you never hear of them again.

I think the 3rd kit last season was only promoted in pre season because there was never any intention of wearing it in the league. I think we will wear the 3rd kit more this season because it is more presentable than the anniversary one. Doesn't really matter anyway what matters is who is wearing the kit and wee Gowser will look great in all 3

Think he'll be the replacement for Carey/Imrie on the left. -----------Teale-------------McGowan-----------Harkins------------ ------------------------------Thompson------------------------------- I can see a lot of chances being created. Get Goodwin back in midfield to get a bit of toughness in there beside McGinn/McLean . Or even better sign Newton

Excited to see the other 2 kits.....this one has left me feeling a bit meh to be honest. It's been a while since we had a yellow kit, should be interesting.

Shame i like big Mairzo and i think he has helped bring on big Cheesy in the last 2 seasons. I hope we aren't going to persist with Goodwin at centre half.

How many superb games has Graham had in the last 2 years,. washe worthy of a new deal on that basis? We can't keep him on just so other teams can't sign him, even though he'll end up having 3/4 blinders against us next season. Up until January he was a cert to be released at the end of his contract and nobody would of been too bothered ( apart form JJ ). Then he had a superb performance in the semi against Celtic at left back, Dummet returning pretty much killed his chances of a regular game along with Isma coming in and McGinn being introduced to the team ahead of him. Yes he has the ability to win games and he needed a good run in the team which he has never got, you have to ask why. It all can't be Danny's fault, his attitude has came into question since he first joined us well over weight. Maybe they didn't agree which each other and working together would never of worked next season. I'll be sad to see him go because there is a player in him somewhere, who knows maybe that bad injury he had at Huddersfield has changed him. As for Sam, he done what was asked of him, he was always going to be a back up player. Came on as a impact sub a few times this season and changed some games for us, scored in the cup run and got himself a winners medal.

Made 4 or 5 cracking saves tonight. Flapped at a few crosses but on footballing ability alone and if the deal was right I wouldn't complain if he was our no2 keeper....
