Newcastle Brown, I'm alleged to have downed 20 bottles one Sunday in the Bull a few years ago., the barstaff kept my empties in my own crates ...............

Big Whitbread............

Fowler's Wee Heavy...................

Budvar, a strange 'thinking' mind alteration as opposed to being mangled..............

The 'festive' Furstenberg that replaced the regular stuff at Christmas....

Krušovice is excellent (as is Budvar) but my fave Czech beer is

1. Gambrinus which takes its name from the "King of hops"

2. Zywiec Polish beer...have only had bottles (but aim to remedy that in the summer when I go to Krakow)

3. Dark Island from the Orkney Brewery

4. Chimay Blue from Belgium

5. Kronenbourg 1664...the real stuff on draught in France which is 6.4% and not the inferior stuff we get here

Aye, it was Zywiec all the way when I was in Poland, its equally as nice on draught I am pleased to report!

No lagers but,

Kreik's - Only Lambic beer I've seen in this country. Brewed with naturally occuring yeasts. Can be quite tart. Developed by Belgian monks - Did they ever do any praying?

Bottle Conditioned Guinness - Full of life, a meal in itself. Alas no longer available in the UK.

Mann's Brown Ale - A real treat.

Bellhaven's St. Andrews Ale - Great beer, before an international or just for gettin' pissed on. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom!

Whitbread Pale Ale - Oft maligned but they've been brewing to the same spec since 1742 so it can't be that bad.

Tiger

Corona

Stella

Kronenburg

all are supreme

there is a chinese beer called tsing tao (excuse the spelling) which always goes down well with a sweet and sour!!

That is how it is spelled. Don't know why because it comes from Qingdao and is named after the city. It is so good, and easily the best Chinese beer because Qingdao was occupied by the Germans around 1900, and they set up the breweries there. :)
