1877SMFC
Time to get this thread back on track by sharing some facts : The SMFC Fans council approached some businesses to gather interest in supporting a list initiatives and projects within the Football club Screwfix the company is very active in supporting English football , but has little involvement in Scottish football at present They have a local site adjacent to our stadium and an aerial photograph presented to them shows both our stadium and their Retail outlet in same shot They have donated £1000 and this will be used to buy Materials to support the club The West Stand paint was funded from this donation , it did NOT cost that amount to do the job This idea was in reaction to Fans request at getting more "atmosphere" into the New Stadium and getting it more "Black and White" The idea was to bring the history and heritage of the North Bank in Love Street into the new stadium At this stage there is no current plan to paint any of the other stands in the same way. TediousTom
Well done once again to the fans council. It sticks in the throat of some of our keyboard moaners (see Lordpitiful) that time and again this group of fan's get off there backsides, work together and using teamwork and initiative bring benefit after benefit to our wonderful wee club and us as it's supporters. People like the fan's council make our club what it is and I never tire of offering my congratulations to this group. Well done again. Please keep up the good work.
