My answer is still the same. Leave young people to make their own decisions. None of them need you wiping their arses for them. No point in going for that uness there is someone in place who can support it adequately. Edited December 6, 2018 by beyond our ken

You will get ideas alright, but they would be even worse than most of the drivel on this website! The cooking at hospitality is a prime example of what happens when you try to save on cost by exploiting students! As far as i was aware, the catering is done by Uni staff as an enterprise and not by catering students
melmac
Can only agree. not sure big Campbell would be the best mentor; intern would probably end up leading the line.

Unfortunately this is practically an all of Scottish football issue. Maximise profit and minimise cost is a brutal part of food at games but I don’t see it changing. Would need all clubs to do the same or all fans to boycott The baked goods at Killie and dunfermline are certainly of a much higher standard than SMFC outlets provide. beyond our ken
I got the impression that GLS wanted to develop income streams based on the opportunities outlined by our previous commercial director, which was to capitalise on the proximity to the airport for meetings and events as well as office space. Hopefully we will see some signs of that developing soon

It's the quality of the ingredients that are the problem. As big Ian says, you need industry contacts and experience to get better produce at good prices. What we are getting is standard (or worse) canteen fodder for near premium prices. The overall experience has gone downhill as well though, they need to look at this
