Ronnie
As we entered January 2017 St Mirren were 6 points adrift of Dunfermline at the bottom of the Scottish Championship, (7 Behind Ayr,9 Behind Dumbarton & 13 Behind Raith Rovers). Jack Ross somehow managed despite our league position to persuade 10 players to come sign for us during that transfer window the turnaround we all know was amazing & we all went through every emotion football fans can and finished above 3 of the 4 teams mentioned above. Carry on in to this season and our turnaround has continued since the first match in January 2017 we have - Played 52 Competitive Matches Won 29 Draws 9 Lost 14. This is an absolute brilliant stat for a team that pretty much had been fighting relegation for 10 seasons in a row & could hardly win a game at home. Every one of those 14 defeats has been a right kick in the teeth and having been to almost everyone of them they were all deserved but the ranting and raving after every defeat is so over the top we should look more to as the topic title says "The Bigger Picture" . We have so much to be positive about and certainly for me the positives so far outweigh the negatives that games like yesterday don't really matter (yes it was really bad) but now we have 14 far bigger games to play than a 3rd round Scottish cup tie away at Aberdeen. To all the people suggesting that because we lost 4-1 to a team that has finished 2nd 3 times and 3rd once in last 4 seasons and in last 18 months have been to 2 cup finals that we couldn't compete with Hamilton or Ross County or Partick that is laughable. Let's get behind the team we have a nerve-wracking 3 months to come so let's forget the negativity and do this together. COYS.
stlucifer
Says it all really. Who wouldn't have bit the proverbial hand off to be complaining while top of the pile when Jack took over?
St.Ricky
No argument from me. Time to enjoy being a Saint's fan. To be in the lead position is fantastic. Brings with it it's own challenges. Expectations are raised. Setbacks seem larger. A sense if proportion is needed. The Future is Bright. It's Black and White. DougJamie
Indeed its been a fantastic 12 months, best since 1999, the club is buzzing Saturday did show a few things. That there are players who wont be making the journey to the Premiership. But it also showed we have pace, we have talent and we have superb supporters

Sonny
We should remember that we have a very young team playing under constant pressure for the last 12 months which will also be exhausting. On Saturday Aberdeen's youngest player was Ryan Christie at 23. Their next youngest was Kenny McLean at 26 with the rest around the 30 mark. We fielded 5 players younger than 23 (4 being 21 or under)! Our guys are doing a fantastic job and have to be commended. Hopefully we will again be proving Alan Hanson wrong.
