  1. not really confident about jack my opinion he was average player . if he does as well as the other managers we have got from alloa then happy days. but the board have appointed him now lets get behind him and hope he starts to climb table because if we are not in top six by Christmas questions will be asked,
  2. Unfortunatly this kind of thing will happen yes mark will get experience but if we get an offer the board will be happy . Its always easy to blame players managers what about the board what is their vision. Management arent doing it the now but if by xmas we are not in the top six it will be time for a change but that will cost money .
  3. He deserves a chance but he came in saying he knew what way he wanted the team to play and yeah hes changed weekly to see what hes got. Now he has to start thinking of his starting 11 barring injuries. Lets see where we are at xmas.
  4. Average signing im not that excited solid defender at times but has his bombscare moments he will fit in fine. My opinion as im entitled to.give it a few months see what the comments about himbare like
  5. We have to play 2 up front thommo holds the ball we need other striker feeding of his knockdowns. This isnt rocket science we are giving teams like morton to much respect. I would rather see us have a go and put defences on back foot. Do what killie did to celtic if you let a team settle then they play football come on murray sort it out .
  6. Remember rangers have a settled team I'm sure after a couple of months we will be a better team. Looking gd so far pleased we fought back after going two down. Still shaky at back and thommo only gd for 45 mins .
  7. Samson is a solid keeper will do well in championship rather see him in our colours.
  8. Players get to much abuse at the Berwick game two old farts behind me were giving mcmullan a hard time its his first competative game get behind the players
  9. Mcginn has a four year deal obviously on more money . He is a quality player and I wish him all the best. Its a job if someone offers you more money you go for it. Kenny McLean is playing in Europe he made a GD progressive move however mcginns move lacks ambition. How will he cope if he takes a while to settle with the fans on his back he was a saints favourite and will be missed. Could be a GD move but it could backfire. Also in the pde today the fee was private between the clubs does this mean it wont show up in the yearly accounts?
  10. Worth a shot in the championship always contributed doesn't hold back exactley what we need a bit of dig
  11. Can anyone confirm if we received a parachute payment when we got relegated if so should Murray not get it to give him a chance.
  12. Get them signed both will stroll in the championship
  13. Good news at last danny Lennon came from a lower club so Murray should do well. Good young players and a mix of experience. He seems confident and could understand him in interview so let's get behind the team from the start and give him a chance.. We should finish in top four and have a chance of promotion personally it will be hard league to win but I'm looking forward to season starting.
  14. It would be gd to give someone else a go at running the club worryingly plenty of interest but when they meet Mr gilmour they do a runner , what's happening there. All I keep hearing is how the board are fans well sell the club take their money and go .
  15. Sorry to see the lad go met him a few times and very down to earth loves playing for buddies and you can't say he didn't try feel sorry for him playingnear that diddy Goodwin. Bit surprised bout timing but after reading today's article in herald not surprised especially with all the crap being spouted by Mr gilmour . gd luck Marc .
  16. A couple of seasons ago our players were weighed and put through a fitness programme during summer and were checked when they came back , I think we had a guy from a university who done this. Against Ross county most of our players didn't chase or close down county players. One of our defenders looked as if he'd give homer Simpson a race for biggest doughnut belly , these are pro footballers aye ma are . also listening to well manager has fight attitude when interviewed teams sounded like a wee boy who hasn't a clue I feel sorry for him. The issue is the bod didn't back him the way other backed relegation rivals. Arquin should never pull a jersey on again and get Jim Goodwin a taxi to the third division he's a dumpling . my opinion.
  17. We need someone new . when the board got rid of a very successful manager they should have sacked his assistant but our board took the cheap option. I like tommy genuine guy but he's a coach but he's gone Mr teale is a gen gd guy but lacks experience . we need someone who will kick the players up the backside. Someone with plenty experience to make us a decent championship side I fear we will go down for a long time. One other thing let's see if Mr gilmour can sell a championship side now, I wonder how much cheaper it was to give tommy the job in the first place compare it to the revenue we will lose getting relegated.
  18. This could turn out to be a decent bit of business, boy obviously is good enough to play in reserves and up against top players in epl who are injured and needing games for match fitness . English top clubs are talking about adding their reserve team to the bottom of the English league so must be good players out there. his first task will be to stop the stupid goals we seem to lose in the last ten minutes of games. I don't think loan moves are the answer for a settled team but its the way to go when you are on a tight budget , so welcome ellis and good luck .
  19. Who says tommy isn't working ,this could be really good a few clubs in London could loan us players who do we fancy.
  20. I think this is worth a gamble okay no ones heard of him but this could turn out to be a really good signing. He is a gd age and I think he and tommo will do well together. he cost the right amount ,zero, but asides from that we had never hear of goncalves and he turned out all right so gd on tommy more of the same please sir.
  21. McGregor having medical with rangers today so guess its goodbye. understand him moving for more money lets face it who wouldn't . so good luck in the championship you could be there for a while or maybe not if rangers go bust again . I would imagine we can replace him fairly easily and not be surprised if he does his knee in again .
  22. not really bothered if hes offered more money he will go for it lets face it who wouldn't . if he wants to play in the championship then good luck to him. who does he think he is anyway, he will decide his future, hes not a superstar . many other clubs would have dumped him with the time off he has had to injury so fair play to stmirren for sticking bye him. if I was tommy id make him an offer and give him 24 hours and then tell him to go politely.
  23. 56 year old not old by any means . what a comic genious loved his satire really funny guy . was excellent in young ones , the comic strip, and my favourite bottom him and ade were funniest guys ever. he made a few films as well . my son watches spongebob and guess who popped up in it . what a guy farewell and thanks for the memories.
  24. good signing great age to get a keeper of good standards really pleased will learn under kello and mathers. shame about dilo good keeper but im sure he will go far . we always lose silly goals at the back and give away cheap goals in last ten or five mins , should get defence sorted out first this year and make st Mirren park a hard place for teams to score.
  25. Jens Paeslack(jens lacks pace) left under a cloud? brian mcginty who hid during the game but popped up for throw ins corners and freekicks just to let you know he was there lets face it we have had a few diddys over the years . mo camara .moussa dagnogo the player who I will always remember was Stephen McPhee always seemed to be so good but never actually scored but he never gave up. as for the simon lappin debate no matter what this young lad did he wasn't liked by a certain section of the north bank and every time he got the ball he would get dogs abuse, I remember one older guy just spent the entire game telling him to go home he was crap lets face it pretty soul destroying for a young lad.
