What makes you think he'd have been a good signing exactly?
He had 0 goals and 0 assists. The starts he had he was terrible, notably St Johnstone at home and Dundee Utd away, where his moving to right back directly led to us turning a 2 nil lead into a 3-2 defeat.
He had plenty of chances with us, and did absolutely nothing of note in any of them. I'm delighted we never signed him, Caldwell and Marwood will offer far more.

The Club wishes to win everything. ( League, Scottish Cup & League Cup )
In reality, we can win both Cups and we could possibly finish 2nd in the League.
In trying for the above, the Club must budget sensibly.in relation to a hardcore support of around 2800 fans.
Therefore no overspending or we will f*cking die.

Your credibility regarding any future signings went out the window two seasons ago.

I think the club were right not to offer McGowan a ccontract he really did nothing last season barr getting arrested moaning and collecting a large wage every week.
The money we saved on his wages helped us offer McClean a better contract.
We still need another 3 player's in. The centre of our defence has been a problem for years so a Cb is essential imo the Slovakian that played for Livingstone last season has had good report's and played ok against Albion Rovers the other night so think he might sign tomorrow?.
Midfield needs strengthening paticularly the right side!.
Think we need another striker in. Marwood is relatively new to the position and Caldwell has never been a first team regular and Reilly needs to go out on loan to save his St.Mirren career! So an experienced striker who is not under contact who can play in several positions!!!
Player's available in that position are Clarkson,Mcfadden,Hasslebaink, id go for Hasslebaink he can play several positions has no club and is exciting.

Only 10-0?! We beat the same mob 16-0 last season. We're clearly destined for relegation, Craig out, etc.

......and as I said the situations were different.
You contradict yourself in the highlighted sections - first you say that McGowan is a more dangerous player (especially if you're a policeman ) than Mair and then you say you've never compared their merits.
Perhaps you should read what you say before you post!
