the barrhead teacher got a reaction from eastlandssaint in 30th November 2019 Aberdeen v St. Mirren
Glad we are competing but increasingly worried that we don't take chances, especially missing penalties. We have to be ruthless to stay up

Indeed we do.
However, at least we've got four teams this year who seem to be equally as poor as we are.
Arguably it could be five, but I'll exclude Hearts, as surely they'll get better under a new manager and will eventually move up the table.

It wouldn't be difficult to fall out with Fowler

The thing is Goodwin hasn't became a shit manager over night, he did a good job at Alloa and he's had one short transfer window (not his fault, just circumstances). I don't always agree with every decision made by GS but this isn't his fault! We are a team in transition and supporters need to be patient. I believe we have a great coaching staff and backroom team at the club and this will bear fruit as long as we don't press the panic button and instead try and get some stability at the club for the first time in years.

Need to take chances, need to start getting points away from paisley, but in touch with others in the bottom six

If that Andreu chance is on target, it goes in and we likely win. 90 secs later, goal for Killie against the run of play.
We need to stop being a hard luck story on the road.

KB was our MoM.
Ridiculous that Obika got the award.

Kirk Broadfoot
Special mention to big Kirk today. I thought he was magnificent in the centre of out defence. The pass he played to begin the move for the second goal was subllime. The big lad (and he is a big lad now, mind the twig we first signed?) not only failed to put a foot wrong his creativity was first class.
Take a bow Kirk, take a bow indeed.

the barrhead teacher got a reaction from East Lothian Saint in vs The Fakes 19 October
First half felt Goodwin tactics failing us. Both teams looked like they deserved to be bottom of league. Goal was out of nothing but finished well. Second half we dominated them and created a lot of opportunities. Second goal was great move. Will help confidence greatly. Three difficult away games now

the barrhead teacher got a reaction from lenziebud in Sunderland Speak To Jack Ross
When l looked at their weekend result coupled with the same pattern as last season of too many draws in games they should have won l did wonder how long Jack had before getting the boot. Harsh but probably not a huge surprise given the size of club and would not accept another season at that level

Sad to not look forward to a home game and approaching it with trepidation so early in season

the barrhead teacher got a reaction from eastlandssaint in Motherwell v St Mirren Sat 5th October
Don't want to jump on the bandwagon at this stage but it is really quite depressing again to see how we approach games. Sure we are far better defensively but we are not competing enough week in week out and the lack of goals is very worrying. Increasingly resigned to a long relegation battle

the barrhead teacher reacted to St.Ricky in Ross County v Saints, Sat 14th September
We lost by a goal scored in the final minute of extra time. We hit the woodwork twice and had a goal disallowed. We have a better goal difference than all of the bottom six teams other than.. Ross County who are at - 2 with us at - 3 courtesy of the late goal. We are in a pack of teams which are low in points, not detached. It's right to point to improvements that can be made but too early yet to get too down.

Broadfoot is class went onto a high level including the Scottish national team . Being playing regular with Killie who had what we would term mind blowing season. Have not forgotten the big man was always one of my favourite players. Magic @

Thank god it's official was beginning to worry that Baird went before this was definitely going to happen. Did well at Kilmarnock so expect he will again do us a turn

I’ve said it before but I don’t understand the boo boys agenda against Baird. Always gives 100% even in some of the dreadful teams he was lumbered with. Hope you’re back soon Jack

So do we go down the road of effective football rather than entertaining? Food for thought. As for the strikers they need to be judged on how they perform when they get decent service on a regular basis

the barrhead teacher reacted to Prague Buddie in Livingston v St Mirren 31 August 2019
I actually think the signings overall have been decent.
Up until today Mcloughlin has been solid. He is still a young lad. He made 2 mistakes that cost us goals today and ultimately lost us the match, but he is only a young guy and will learn from those mistakes. Cut out the mistakes and we would have won today.
As for all the other signings, I really don't think they have been too bad. For me, the most shakey looks to be Waters. I am really not impressed by him. Does not look comfortable on the ball. But the rest I see a lot of potential for them to be decent.
I think we are heading in the right direction and will finish 7th or 8th.
