Paisleyporridge got a reaction from St.Ricky in Hearts v St Mirren 23 Feb 2019
What I liked is how every panel member wrote off St Mirren. That should fuel expectation and crowd discontent if we stick it to them.
Edit: I still rembember Hearts fans of that era openly bawling their eyes out on the street (it might have been after a semi-loss to Aberdeen or someone). They’re an emotional lot ...

Indeed. There wouldn’t be a “wider problem” anymore if it weren’t for the Old Firm. It’s specifically their problem. -

As in “You’re right again honey” like.

I was in Paisley recently and in a well known big taxi firms vehicle. I asked the driver if he knew a taxi driver who was a St. Mirren supporter called Iain. He suggested four Ians, then the 5th one he gave a well known forum name and said that he is known as IAIN which stands for I Am 1 Numpty among some other names which I won't repeat on here.
He said that ** was always on his phone cause anyone who knows him is not daft enough to get into a conversation with him.
He gave me a good laugh though and I gave him a big tip.
Needs to be abusive cause his life is dull and he wants to hit out at people rather than man up and do something constructive with his empty stingy life before it is over and fully wasted … to be pitied rather than anything else! (But ignored too - unless he seeks out help)
So who is going to be fit and in the team against Hearts? How will Oran set us up? AND will we win or take a point?
The pool of fit players is growing... We will soon be marching in !!!!!

Pressure for foreign referees.
Hopefully this will also include assistant referees.
Heres another idea: actively promote female match officials. They can’t do any worse than their male counterparts!

We have a new character in the team. Seems very positive minded.

Great to have this wee insight into the Duck's life.
What we learn from this :-
1. We only payed for easyjet flights for him to come to us.
2. He likes his food.
3. He is a passionate footballer.
4. He expects to be scoring goals (This was before he scored his 1st and 2nd with us.)
5. Oran takes time with him and the others - good man management and what that does.

There are some here who would have you call that half a litre rather than a pint!!

PS I’d rather have half full than half empty. Half of empty is zero. Half of full is half. I know what I’d rather have!! ;)

Lets get this pinned up on the dressing room wall. I hope come May we can ram this down this tadgers neck!

The fact that he dismissed Duckens Nazon purely on the basis that he thinks his name sounds silly sums him up. -

St Mirren are going to be relegated. .... Hope may not be completely extinguished, but it is already in its dying embers.

This guy seems to want to be seen as decisive- knocks St Mirren throughout his article- but adds a weasel statement right at the end. Weak.

Absolutely. Let the record show.
No guarantee he would have scored as goalie relied on off-side decision but we were certainly denied a golden chance.

IOBS. You are right. Violence seemed to be part and parcel of football for some (not by any means all) at that time. I'd like to think that these days are behind us. A return would certainly make me think twice about going. Personally I don't "hate supporters of any other team"

I was encouraged that in a second half where Aberdeen had most of the pressure, Lyons was just off target with a header, McAllister was wrongly given offside when he was one on one with their keeper, Jackson had a decent chance and we scored 1 great goal from McAllister... and that's us away at Pittodrie and without Stephen McGinn, Kyle Magennis and quite a few others out injured at the minute.
The Duck has scored in 1 game more than Danny Mullen and a lot of the January signings are beginning to look match fit and useful.

I agree... but we DID 'steal' their Scottish Cup in 1987. Mibbe that's the bit that's being left unmentioned in that wee article.

My source:
Kyle McAllister typified their energy-sapping effort overall when he was forced off with severe cramp

Anton: I’m not sure he has. He’s missed games. Maybe an 80% Anton and a 90% McKenzie will make a good contribution. But resilience of our squad depth at central defence must be a concern ... fingers crossed.
