Very impressed by young Billy. He really looks like a terrific loan signing. Also think he could become a bit of a cult hero between now and the end of season.

Have we not signed anyone today? This week's shite compared to last week. 

We need a balanced squad, and McGinn would be an experienced head in a midfield (Quinn excepted) of young lads. The blend of the squad is likely to be a key factor in terms of how we fare in the run in.
At the moment, one of the biggest issues with the young lads is their decision making and final ball. McGinn was/is an accomplished player who could pick out a pass, and had a composure in his game that could be invaluable.
He hasn't signed yet, and might not, but I would be happy if he did, given time is ticking on and there's every chance that Stevie Mallan will leave within the next few days.
I still reckon we could do with another striker, though.
 

Clarkson was by far the best player on the park at the development game last week and deserved his chance yesterday.I thought he used his experience well and was unlucky with his chance but hey ho lets criticise him because theres nothing else to criticise on an absolutely wonderful team effort.

Thought the young Keeper had a brilliant game. Coped with everything thrown at him and seemed to be communicating well with the defence.
Mallan had a great game but MOTM for me had to be Storie, hard as nails , calm & composed.
Early days i know and dont want to get too excited but if we can carry that sort of performance to the league.. who knows ?

Kyle McAllister is only 17, and already looks like being the best player we've produced in a generation.
Kyle Magennis, Lewis Morgan and Stephen Mallan are all academy graduates, who along with McAllister have performed very well this season.
We've made 4 new signings in the last week.
We got rid of 4 players that didn't want to work hard for the team.
We've only lost 2 of our last 7 league matches.
We're in the semi finals of the Irn Bru cup, and playing a Welsh side. That's European football if you think about it :-)
We're in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.
We've just opened a new disabled platform, paid for partly by the fans, to give our disabled fans better facilities.
We've ditching JD Sports and might actually now be able to buy replica kit in August, and from our own stadium as a result.
We still retain a 33% sell on clause on John McGinn which could be worth north of £1m in time.

Paperwork for the new goalkeeper should be completed today. He's joining on loan from a very big club.
Left back in for training today, hopeful of getting that concluded quickly too assuming all goes well.

The bit in bold is it in a nutshell for me Drew................the only info re sponsorships, TV deals etc was coming from those clowns and all any of the clubs chairmen could do was relay that info. The fact that none of it came true shows that pair to be the shysters they are and incredibly they're both still in a job, it beggars belief!!

Yet this is the same Gilmour who sat in the club board room and readily cited Doncaster's slabberings about bloody armageddon as justification for arguing that sevco be afforded direct access to the 1st Division.
Gilmour didn't do hellish much to urge change in terms of the administration in the game when he was in a position to, so I'm afraid that his views on it now seem rather empty.

I won't be a hypocrite, I thought our squad was pretty strong as we embarked on the season. I think Ray's style of management and approach to playing the game managed to get the worst out of it, though.
The players didn't cover themselves in glory, of course, but the buck had to stop with Rae. I was hearing some pretty unsavoury stories about his interactions with players (granted, I can't comment on the veracity, but the sources seemed legitimate enough). The lack of confidence was glaringly obvious, as was Ray's increasingly lackadaisical manner despite our perilous position even that early in the season.
JR wasn't my preference for a replacement. I wanted Yogi Hughes in, but it wasn't to be. Ross has made mistakes, but the we have to arrest this cycle of hiring and firing at some point.
 
 

I know you didn't ask me, but I would say so. Home defeats against QoS, Dunfermline and Dumbarton are inexcusable for the squad we had, and those, more than any others, are the results that have us in such a poor situation. Ross still has to prove himself - but I believe we should give him time to do that. 

Hes one of the shortest served managers been at the club so to base his stats on half a season and a few games this season is embarassing.

Gordon Scott comes across well and I think he gets alot of unfair stick at times. There is a lot of hard work behind closed doors that isnt always in the public domain.

Glad to hear we are putting an end to this merry go round manager malarky. It is clearly evident that stability is required a nd I feel since Lennon, JR is the best man for the job.

Aye, then he had an opportunity to build his own squad, and made a monumental arse of it. Saying that, even with the squad he had this season, he should have done better. Utter shambles, and he should hold his hand up.

I checked it div , edinbuddie is correct , he was the best win percentage since 83 , but he is comparing wins in the second tier against wins in the top tier . using the same comparison Ally McCoist was the best Rangers manager ever

The interview is from the PDE, which is part of the same group as the Record. For a good few years now all the local papers (including the one I work for) upload stuff to the Record website rather than having their own - nothing worse than having to provide a reality check to folk who think a national newspaper has picked up their story.
EDIT: The main reason I shared it was because he's a signing none of us had heard of and we know sod all about and this provided a bit more background.
The articles I despise more than anything are when one of the Old Firm sign someone and the following day there will be some drivel from one of his former team-mates or managers, usually with a connection to Scottish football, talking about how wonderful he is. They never, ever say he's useless - even the one about Mohsni was positive. A slight variation on this theme came during the Euros in the summer when one paper asked David Clarkson about Danny Rose as they'd been together at Bristol Rovers for about a month

If they agree to sign him on a bosman, the paperwork between the player and new club is already signed and agreed.  You can't rip up the contract, but the new club need to wait until the current contract has ended before the player joins them.  The exception is where we agree a fee from County for the player to be released early.

Irvine has got off Lightly when I wouldn't have him anywhere near the team in either full back position. He makes Webster look pacey and constantly floundering trying to get back. Obviously Jordan Stewart ain't fancied eithe
