The invites for next weeks game went out yesterday.
The game on 17th Dec will be the last one until the new year, no match on 24th or 31st of Dec.
Normal service resumes on 7th Jan, I will issue invites for that one at the start of the year, if I am ever sober enough to remember.

We have our 16.
Maybe we should ramp up the positive chat of a wee Corporate Day sometime after Christmas as watching St Mirren is becoming harder every week. I think the best way to watch us this season could be with a skin full of booze inside you.

With all the doom and gloom these days on here.... thought I'd share this uplifting story about one of our players.
Tonight my Mum won an Unsung Hero award at the Great Scot 2014 awards. I noticed on Twitter that McGinn was there and mentioned that my Mum was there. He messaged me asking what table. Within 5 minutes I had a text from my Dad saying he had just got his picture taken with John McGinn.
Some lad. Whilst we might be pissed off at what is happening at St Mirren just now, things like this reminds me I wouldn't have it any other way.

Don't give yourselves a silly name like the supras etc. Just be the St Mirren Active group and get people involved in not only singing sections at the games and creating an atmosphere but getting people actively involved in things like raising money for our youth academy and things like that. Another good close game last night with a fair few good goals, topped by Luke's in off the post 25 yard volley.

1966-67 was pretty rank. We went down for the first time in 30 years and to make matters worse Morton came up in our place!
However we did come back up the following year as champions
Back down in 70-71 and as seasons went by, in 73-74 we finished 11th in the 2nd tier. To put it into modern context that's 29th in the rankings, so basically in today's third level of football in Scotland.
74-75 saw us scrape into the new divisional set-up as the last club out of the old second division, so we now in the new 2nd tier, but in the smaller league arrangement. The following year we finished 6th in that new league (16th overall).
Bingo we won the 2nd division the year later and we were back in the big time.
So if you want to really complain look back in anger at the miss-management and care of the club in these years. It was pretty woeful and painful to watch and also to observe how the club was being run.
There have been many, many years and teams that are so much worse than today's club, so please don't try and compare reasonably tasty apples with rotten bananas, it doesn't bear thinking about.
If you are a true fan, you go along and you take the thick with the thin, the huge difference now is that the fan in the street (i.e. me) has got this outlet to let off steam. In these days, I can tell you I stood on the terracing and winced and shouted and rubbished the team in voice, but never in writing, but I still came back for more. Why? - Because I loved St Mirren, and still do with a passion.
It was dead easy in these days to get on the bus and go up to the fortresses of Ibrox and Parkhead and watch teams that won and competed well in Europe. Many did and deserted the club in the dark days, if you were a real fan however you always looked for the and desperately wanted a day in the sun. Round it came in 86-87 and boy was THAT worth waiting for
So I probably have a year or two on a number that post here, but all I'll say is keep the faith, support the team and tomorrow WILL be a better day.

Who's to say that they have been doing that for the past 2 weeks. Are they not allowed some down time to blow off steam and get the team spirit up, which will hopefully bread confidence in the team?

Could let it build up and then go put it towards a discounted hospitality near the seasons end

Ok guys I have had a chat with David this morning as we have had a few problems recently with folk not responding to invites.
A few notes for anyone involved in the game;
Withdrawing from the Squad
Firstly if you are in the squad but no longer wish to play please let us know and we will take you out completely. Email [email protected] if you want to withdraw from the game at any time !
Joining the Squad
Secondly we are always looking for new recruits for the game so if you are looking to join in please send your full name, email address and phone number to [email protected] and we will send you an invite to join our Teamer squad.
Teamer
Please check that your email address and mobile number are correct in your teamer profile.
If you have the teamer app then the system will use that instead of an SMS to notify you of an invite to play. Remember and check the app if you have it installed.
Invites
We are going to try and get the invites sent out at exactly the same time every week so that everyone knows to expect them at that time and to respond. Invites will be sent at noon every Thursday.
Finally
Teamer is vital to the success of the game, nobody has time to run about chasing up players and Teamer works really well, as long as the players check it and respond to invitations when they are issued !
