Danny Lennon got four years at St Mirren his full contract term he was not sacked '4 years' Going by the constant we want Danny out for a couple of seasons now I would say the board did well by Danny Lennon.
Most work places if a suitable candidate is available within then that person deserves his promotion. Our club is giving the chance to three employee's two of which are young. Gus who ? He was an assistant manger and did alright. Something I would very much say of our board even if you don't agree with the appointment they are 100% loyal. Not sacking Danny and promoting within.
Your thread leaves a nasty taste in my mouth and has not been thought through properly though we are entitled to our opinion. No way is our board back stabbers

The new manager, whoever he is, should be sacked immediately.

I was calling for Danny's head but we all have to admit the run in has been great. His subs have proved crucial at the right time. Add maybe we could finish in our highest league position in a long time then you also have that national trophy. Also like the fact young ones get a chance under Danny. Some of the signings have been rank but let's be honest here Granger and Harkins looked good signings at the time. Maybe Danny has learned a lot this season in which cause he might be worth keeping.

Looks a lot like our first ever vertical strip black and white top. I don't mind it too much, would like a better look at the sleeves though, in fact, a better look at the whole thing tbh.

There will be a full squad meeting on Friday April 25th from 1700 in the Landsdowne Bar & Kitchen on Landsdowne Crescent in Glasgow.
This is a shortish walk from Firhill where the mighty Saints are taking on Partick Thistle at 19:45 that night.

Was a cracking game last night I really enjoyed it again! Highlights included dougys crouching tiger hidden defender style acrobatic attempt at a clearance which he missed but at least it put Nicky off his shot? And also well done to mark Russell for getting a mom vote despite not even playing? Think someone might have mixed him up with Mark Logan or Kennedy?

When you log in to teamer, click on my teams. Then on the right there will be a box that says Upcoming events, in it will be

If you click the accepted link it will show whos in the line up and whos on standby, just need to scroll down. There might be a more simpler way to do this, but thats what i usually do.

So you also are not sure what to suggest is done.
"Act before it’s too late" is a pretty poor payoff to the preceding waffle. After your preamble, I was hoping for something constructive - especially from you.
No pointers as to how he should act? Which actions should be taken...?
It could be you don't personally want the responsibility of calling for DL's removal, particularly as neither me, you or even SG can have any guarantee that all will be sweetness and light under a new management.
A couple of reasons why I would expect DL to prevail:
1. The post split games will be against 'lesser' teams than Shellic and StJ.
2. I feel that the team which beat Killie a few weeks ago showed they had talent, skill and worked well as a team, sufficient to ensure survival.
ok, 3. We have some great young players, brought through by DL. I think they WILL keep him in his job till at least the season end.
4. Change for change's sake, seldom succeeds.

There were no overnight call offs but there is still time for Nicky to get a late call up as we seem to have had a few recently.
Div said he is going to send a teamer invite out for the St Mirren quiz night and gauge interest levels. I can't make it but sounds like a good shout for an b and w army 8's night out. I actually have £119 in the kitty and Div has another £100.:-)

I might be shot down, but I would like us to stay up, and keep every single one of the current squad. I genuinely believe this group of players is a good group and with new direction from above, and better tactics, less fcuking about and shuffling square pegs into round holes, could be a different story altogether. Maybe some arses need booted, for sure it isn't all Danny's fault, but my goodness, this is a more than decent looking bunch.
I know it hasn't been all sweetness for Terry Butcher at Hibs, but I'd love to see him and Malpas kick arse and get this St Mirren squad going a bit.

Benny's response to an email from Teamer this morning lol

Unfortunately through suspensions, injuries and cup tied or loan situations we were without McGennis, Wylde, McGinn and McAusland for a few games. With McLean now match fit and Teale and Djemba Djemba close to match fitness we now have some team to select from. I think the next game, with all these players available, will be the real test as to whether tactically Danny can get it right, and if the players cant adapt and play together properly.

My preferences would be:

A straight 4-4-2 with Kelly/Naismith allowed to overlap, or wylde/Teale to use pace etc to get down the wings. Then we have 2 big target men in the box. McGinn / Goodwin / Djemba are fighters and will battle it out in the middle to make us hard to beat and offer protection in front of the CH.

A low scoring but entertaining game. There was a no show from Fraser Burns with young Paul stepping in to help the youngsters. Great to see the caveman rolling back the years with the under 30's.

I don't think John Montgomery will be available for selection next Wednesday as his wife gave birth to a wee boy in the early hours of this morning.

So, last night saw my welcome (in my opinion… ) return to the infamous Black & White Army 8-a-side arena, and was also my first game this year in Scotland.
The ball was an official Euro ’12 Tango match ball but, unfortunately, was a little on the soft side.
And so, to the game… the ball was kicked deep in to the half defended by the bibs (who started off with 7) and I sent it back with the game’s first shot on goal; a shot on target well saved by the non-bibbed goalkeeper. A sign of things to come for not only me, but the rest of those adorned by bright orange.
The bibs were not the only eye-catching attire on display with big Mark’s size further embellished by this season’s third kit in its entirety (it was difficult to ‘mark’ him without sunglasses), an Adelaide Crows Aussie rules kit ( ) and Richard’s Darth Vader / Batman tribute to arm armour.
The non-bibs took the lead ten minutes in, just as a eighth bibbed-player took to the pitch, and a lead by a few goals was soon established – their defensive robustness accentuated by the physical presence of Messrs Montgomery, Hanley and Zo, which provided the counter-attacking platform for big Mark, big Ian and Brian C.
However, the lead at this stage was primarily due to the high goal / shot ratio – the bibs had peppered the opposition goal with shots which were just missing the target, being heroically-blocked or brilliantly-saved. Some of my team appeared to play with a paint brush and palette in their hands, such was the flair and artistry of the football at times.
The game continued in this custom but goals were then scored by both sides with more frequency. Goal of the game was scored by Ian Craig (thanks, REA) of the bibs* when he curled one from the 20 yards out on the left right in to the postage stamp.
The consensus at full-time was that the score was level, perhaps a fair reflection of the game.
MOTM? A few performances merit a mention, but for some spectacular saves and blocks that would make a Fuji Tree Frog yoga-enthusiast look on incredulously, and for good, early distribution, my nomination goes to the bibbed goalkeeper Luke. Well played, sir!
I had quite the swollen ankle after the game (historic chocolate ankle) but thanks to the miracles of modern-day science-in-sport, I was able to temper the swelling. That is, Quorn ‘mince’ was used instead of frozen peas…

Thank god I didn't make plans for tonight, that was a fast move through the stand by list for once!
