I certainly hope we win and win well.
However I don't want to legitimize the changes, we all know Doncaster will be trying to claim it's been a massive success, proves that colt teams can play in the lower leagues and gives him more ammunition to promote 2 Scottish clubs playing in England. He has done absolutely nothing to promote the game in Scotland as a whole and has quite often in my opinion went the opposite way by more or less stating that 50 clubs are there purely as cannon fodder for the other 2.

The ticketing system does have some flexibility online. When cup games are offered you pay for it online and the smart card is updated for that particular game. Surely something could be arranged where smart cards could be purchased say for one game, if wanted, then the person goes online and pays in advance for any other game(s) they can go to. There might have to be a cut off point to allow the system to update but if there was an area of unallocated seats inside the ground then I wouldn't think it should be too much of a problem.

These tickets would need to be for a non specific seat, maybe sections W6 & 7 if there was enough demand. They could also introduce packages for a block of games similar to what happened with the league cup section games, you could buy the package or individual games.

Given our current state, along with playing a team who finished 2nd last year and had won 4 on the bounce coming into tonight....... I thought that was an excellent point.
Yes, we didn't create much, but their goal was a fluke and Langfield only really had one serious save to make.
Last week's mistakes were cut out, we defended well and our goal came through a bit of incision in the middle of the park: a sharp pass from Mallan and a great bit of play from Walsh.
Hopefully, that will inject a wee bit of confidence.

I enjoyed being back at the football today. Proud of the effort from the players who deserved more from the game. Thank you for the effort. Proud to be a Buddie ! [emoji835]️[emoji836]️[emoji835]️

I think this competition has been totally devalued by the changes, everyone knows that the changes are all about the ambitions of 2 clubs that aren't eligible to play in it. One change to get their U20s playing in the league and the other to get cross border games going to set a precedent for any future changes. I've not been to any mickey mouse cup games this season and I won;t be going even if we reach the final as the cup has been tarnished by dungcaster bending over for 2 clubs.

Someone should remind him forcefully that there are 40 other teams in the league and he should be promoting each team equally.

I think that rather than open a coffee shop now, it would be better to get details of the sports village plan as SMFC appear to be a part of it. If the 1877 club and other facilities at the club could be used in conjunction with this plan then there would be a much greater footfall to take advantage of. The problem would be if the sports village had it's own cafe/bar complex then there would be competition. At the moment I don't think the location of the club would generate enough footfall to make a cafe/bar a success, people going to the Phoenix are already well served with various options and it's just far enough out from the town for shoppers to pop in for a quick coffee. That only leaves the works close by and possibly the occasional person using the parking facilities.

One thing the club could possibly think of is a sort of park and ride using St James' station and targeting people who work in Glasgow.

I'd agree with something for the disabled supporters. As a (soon to be) fan owned club then we should want to see all the fans part of it and doing something that is tangible could lead to more people joining.

I don't think a coffee shop is such a good idea, after all didn't Starbucks claim to the tax authorities they hadn't made a profit in 4 years.
