Just heard a thing on the Chris Evans show about hashtag being the children's word of the year. The bloke Chris interviewed said that kids are fearless with making new words. One example was stegosuarez, emanating from the feeding habits of a particular footballer. I like that.

Here's a wee thought for the trolls and serial moaning cunts, if you don't like the choice of management or anything else about the club then fair enough it's every individuals choice and their opinion. I will be renewing my season ticket. Even if it doesn't work out it appears to me that the board have made what appears to be the correct decision. That is all I was looking for.

The last thing I'm going to do is to dig out some recent posts from people lauding this appointment who said a day or two ago that if Murray gets it we are going nowhere... If I did that, folk would go and dig out my posts where I reckoned I could see why the BoD bumped up Tommy Craig - continuity, knows the players, time to be his own man... so on and soforth. Tommy was no different to any new Saints boss - I wanted the best for him and therefore the team.
Which leads me into my view that this time, I am not lauding Murray's appointment as being visionary, nor am I going to say I think his record at Dumbarton isn't great and we should have went for A.N. Other. I am very much up for giving the guy a real chance - give him time. We are in the Championship anyway. We are up against Sevco / Hibs / Motherwell etc anyway. We need a rebuild anyway.... Let's give the guy every chance to move us in the right direction.
There's no desperate bottom six struggle, no grim attempt to hold onto top flight status. A fresh start for everyone - Murray himself, and the players, supporters and staff of St Mirren FC. I am encouraged that the BoD have went for a new, young, outside manager, and I am encouraged that Murray sees us as a step up. He also speaks very well and comes over well in interviews.

We will do well to come up in the next five years. There will be a period of adjustment - my guess would be that will take a couple of seasons. After that, we should hope to be challenging for play-off spots.
I would be (very pleasantly) surprised if we return to the top flight before the decade is out, unless aided by league reconstruction.

The good news is they do sell unemployed tickets at less than half price on a game per game basis.
I suppose they must be thinking that someone may be unemployed this week and buy a season ticket at a reduced rate then get a job next week.

Forget relegation? Aye no bother
Is it coincidence that the young players have suddenly found their form and we have started winning again since we have been relegated? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong I am proud of them and the results but the pressure is off them now.
The team got battered against our 2 nearest rivals when the chips were down and it really mattered. If anything Saturdays result proves how badly wrong Gary got it in that Fir Park shambles.
He also had a say in the inept signings we made in the summer. January is a bad month to find talent, we also gave our best talent away, but even at that Arquin,Gow, Dayton,Genev haven't done it for me at all.
No offence to Gary I think he would have learned a lot from this but he will have to cut his ( fantastic ) teeth at the lower level or even assist the new guy if need be.
Time for the fresh start we should have had when Danny left.

I don't think Gow has been good since he signed & IMO wasn't as good as people are making him out on Saturday.
I thought he had a poor first half, summed up by putting the ball miles wide when through on goal. He had a much better 2nd half (until McManus put in that shocker of a challenge) playing some nice passes out to that waster Wylde, but I still wouldn't sign him for next season.
I'd like to think we can sign better players than him.

You've most definitely lucked out there, they deserve all the negative comment they get. I've seen people caught in doors, doors closed in faces, drivers asking "are you on or aff" as someone struggles with a pram and all manner of other incidents.
