  1. Stewart, your constant carping about the SNP has irritated all and sundry for the past year or two but I do now begin to worry about your obsession with this. According to you Scotland is going from bad to worse but, if you were to raise your horizon and have a look south of the border you would see that NHS England is going to hell in a handcart, long queues of ambulances are a regular feature outside A&E departments with patients often waiting hours to get into the A&E department before being assessed, and it is not unusual for patients to have to wait several weeks for a routine GP appointment. David Cameron stated before the 2010 general election that there would be no top down reorganisation of NHS England but proceeded to reorganise the NHS from the top down at a cost of many billions of pounds, against the advice of people with a much greater knowledge of the workings of the NHS. You seem totally unable to recognise that the vast majority of actions taken by the present Conservative government and its predecessor coalition government were and are based on ideology alone. It is about time that you took your head out of your a**e and looked at the real world!
  2. The Chief Constable is reported in today's papers as saying that the call was received but not entered into the electronic system which would have triggered a response. Perhaps we should blame it on the widespread use of IT.
  3. I imagine that the vast majority of Saints fans were already aware that Celtic had arranged to play 3 friendlies at St Mirren Park. Was anyone really surprised that a bit of Celtic branding appeared at the ground?
  4. Celtic signs? As far as I can see, there is only one Celticsign - the one above the shop. How many St Mirren signs are still in situ? Get a life.
  5. Ian Murray will be a guest on Radio Scotland Sportsound after 2pm today.
  6. Few people? Surely this is an overestimate!
  7. Only 37% of UK voters voted for the Conservative party. How does this square with your assertion that people get the kind of government that they vote for? I suggest to you that this is not the case under the present electoral system. Given your posting history, I will be astonished if you admit that this is the case.
  8. As far as I am aware it is not only the SNP in his constituency who are urging him to resign his seat. You, of course, always have to slant it against the SNP!
  9. Even if she did the Scottish Electorate backed her party. Does this still wrankle?
  10. Wonderful places universities! They can re-teach students things that you claim they have not been taught before. Having your cake and eating it must be great.
  11. AKAIK the proceeds of the Final still go to the Renfrewshire Football Association.
  12. For once you may possibly be right. On the other hand, I suspect that many of the Labour votes in Edindburgh South came from Hearts supporters grateful for Ian Murray's help in saving Hearts from oblivion.
  13. Dicko, what world do you live in? I don't believe that anyone would aspire to have a society where no one can earn more than 50% more than someone on the dole. I do, however, aspire not to live in a society where the fat cats can earn several thousand times this level. The main reason that the median income has risen is that the income of bankers and chief executives have risen to astronomical levels in this time of austerity while that of those lower down the pecking order has reduced in relative terms. If this is you idea of a healthy society, heaven help you. And, if child poverty is at its lowest level for years, why do I keep seeing reports that the number of childeren living in poiverty has increased and is likely to continue increasing with the proposed reduction in benefit levels. As usual you don't let facts get in the way of your delusions.
  14. Absolutely right. Remember the black and white (or was it blue and gold?) wedding dress?
  15. Good Morning Scotland finishes at 9am. Have we missed it or is he on Kaye Adams' programme?
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31873611 How to prepare for a Cup Final!!
  17. I thought you believed everything the Tories say!
  18. It seems that he has not been retained for the upcoming MLS season. http://www.coloradorapids.com/news/2014/11/rapids-announce-names-players-whose-options-are-not-being-exercised
  19. I agree with much of what you say but he will be much more useful when he learns the offside rule. I lost count last night of how many times he was in an offside position as Saints went forward.
  20. The important word here is "regain". In order to regain possession you first have to have possession and then lose it. Are you seriously suggesting that, if the keeper hade booted the ball up the park, a St Mirren player would have gained possession rather than the Celtic defence? Aye, right!
  21. Goodwin being interviewed on Radio Scotland Sportsound shortly.
  22. Looks like our old friends Spartans will reach the quarter finals!
  23. My, my! The supertroll has realised that electronic jamming devices are available. http://www.iaati.org.uk/?p=1376 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/09/21/car_jammer_vehicle_theft_scam/ http://blog.jammer-store.com/2012/10/code-grabbing-devices-transparent-and-modern-way-to-steal-your-car/
