Great memories of this squad....... what Alex Wright did for our club was equally as good as what Jack's done......Point is I've seen a lot of players and Bosses pass through our teams over the years and every team to the man has been supported whilst playing for OOR club. That my friends will continue to be the case players and Bosses come and go but St Mirren Football club and it's LOYAL fans remain constant.............let's get on with it bring on the new season

I don't think Jack Ross is going to be offered the Ipswich job.  If he was their number one target then they would have appointed him by now.
We know Jack Ross has a very good chance of becoming a top manager in Britain but I am not convinced winning the Scottish Championship and manager of the year in Scotland cuts a whole load of mustered in England.
I think Ipswich are a good sized club with plenty of potential and will be looking for a bigger name than Jack Ross.
hopefully Jack isn't offered the job and St Mirren offer Jack an improved contract making him our highest paid manager and ask him to commit his future to St Mirren FC for the next two seasons.
    In Jack We Trust!

Think we're now at the stage where even if it isn't Ipswich, there are enough suitors out there to suggest the someone will tempt Jack this pre season.
And really, what do some sections of our support really expect? Two weeks ago everyone was high as a kite that he'd won manager of the year in Scotland amongst his peers. A country where Brendan Rodgers is on the brink of back to back trebles and Stevie Clarke is performing just short of miracles at Kilmarnock but their peers are saying 'You're both good, this guy has been better, though.'
Did anyone truly believe that the presence of Manager of the year for the entire country at a perceived small fish and available relatively cheaply by EFL standards wouldn't spark a frenzy to acquire his services?!
It's about striking when the iron is hot and at present, his stock is at an all time high... It may never actually be higher with us. It's not about knuckling down and committing yourself for a minimum of this season like some suggest. No one is daft enough to do that, especially when by the end of the coming season your stock could be significantly lower. Jack Ross and St. Mirren, like the rest of us are now in a waiting game. Is it frustrating? Of course it is, this is a vital time in preparation of next season but it's part of football... It's just part of football that we've never really experienced as Buds, to have a man so talented at the helm that everyone wants to tempt him away.

Sunderland are infact interested in Jack. He goes on holiday tomorrow so can’t see anything happening one way or another in the coming days. He has also said he’s in absolutely no rush to leave St. Mirren but time will tell.

This could be a possibility. Hopefully we will find out what's going on with Reilly's contractual situation soon.
On second thoughts this is nonsense. Jack won't leave, Div has got it wrong, it's all gonna be alright...

As St Mirren fans we've seen this all before, usually with players. I trust GLS and Tony Fitzpatrick to choose a decent successor should he leave. We're in a good place right now as a club and one man doesn't make the club. I really hope Jack stays but what will be, will be.

Just another Tractor popping by! Have to echo the sentiments of the other Town fans on here, it’s  a pleasure reading this forum and the way many of you view our club!
From what I’ve read, Ross would be a brilliant route for us to take. There is great foundations in place at the club for him, of which I do thank McCarthy for even if I am certain him leaving was absolutely the correct decision, no matter what his mates in the game say.
Plenty of youth coming through, the team have really stuck together since and the caretaker(s) were those who are heavily involved in the youth teams. Our older players have also been chipping in, including the captain Chambers, and it appears these players will transfer into Town coaches.
Regarding finances, although we don’t pay millions for transfers like other championship clubs, we are very competitive on wages and this is where people in football do not look. We’ve actually offloaded a few large wages in recent weeks (McGoldrick, Hyam, loanees including Man City youngster Celina) so he would certainly be given some funding.
Once again it’s a pleasure to be on here and wish you luck going forward whichever way these talks go
