  1. Hopefully not another borefest. The fitba has been one great disappointment this season.
  2. At this particular moment, absolutely nothing is funny about supporting the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co first team playing squad, nothing at all. Over the years I have been asked all the same questions as the rest of you Q) But who is your big team Q) But who is your real team? Q) But who do you prefer, Rangers or Celtic? Q) Why? Q) Who? Like the wyd character on this thread everyone who knows me, all three of them know exactly where my loyalties lie. Even the nurse that had the unfortunate job of wiping my shitty arse a few years back knew which team I supported. Over the years I can also take credit for introducing many a young fan to the arena that was Love Street. In life some people are just daft, why else would we have a Labour party?
  3. Christ almighty, Terry Kelly...is he still fettering around indulging in his own self importance and doing nothing to dispel the smell of corruption hanging over Renfewshire Labour? He had a councillor pal called Manser...did he not get the jail? I fell out of love with Labour some years ago, I despise them now.
  4. Is anyone interested in buying our club?
  5. The Tommy revolution is starting to kick in. We are the team on the up, we are the team hitting form, we are the footballing side all others will compare themselves against, we are the exciting package, we are the epitomy of good football, we are what everyone else aspires to be, we are the greatest, the best, the most wonderful and we are where we are. I do not know the outcome of this footballing match and I have given up on trying to predict our scores, needless to say I will settle for the scrappiest, most pantaloons match as long as the precious 3 points remain in Paisley with our heroes and at our stadium of hope and dreams. Tommy will conjure of that you can be sure.
  6. Yes I also wish to join the chorus of our supporters who will undoubtedly wish Dan the former manager man well in his new venture. I genuinely hope all goes well for our former leader and he remains gainfully employed in the game for many a year to come. The added bonus of course being that he is not managing a team that are in competition with the Paisley wonders.
  7. Obviously hoping to uncover a diamond! When I saw this thread I was expecting a discussion regarding case law and the judicial processes in Ghana.
  8. There is a hugely positive message in this story although it may not be immediately clear. The revulsion caused by such horrible actions just shows how far we as a society and football as a game has come in the last 20 years. It really was not long ago that such horrible behaviour was commonplace and almost accepted as "normal". I distinctly recall bananas being thrown at Mark Walters (nothing to do with our club but really not long ago). The comically named "Wishaw Wanker" may jump on this all he likes but the fact is that at our great little club it is extremely rare to witness such behaviour. It is entirely possible that one knuckle dragger has let us down badly but the reaction from the overwhelming majority of our fans to such an incident really does confirm the fact that our supporters are just great people. With the football banning orders that we have now us decent fans can be safe in the knowledge that if this incident did occur as described then we will not be seeing the assailant back at our ground. Let justice crush him if he be guilty.
  9. Ah yes you are quite correct. For me 8 yrs ago was only 3% less nasal hair ago. I only wish I read that book 70 years ago (of course it was not written, indeed the author was not born).
  10. If you work for Renfrewshire council meals on wheels service then may I suggest the following Any effing cookbook you lazy, incompetent, cheap, mushmaking fudbags of satan. Otherwise the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Wish I had read it years ago, although years ago it wasn't actually written but you know what I mean my fellow brow beaten football supporting forum chums.
  11. Not much to be confused about my argumentative forum chum. Anyone who votes to deny the people of Scotland the right of self governance will be a traitor to the Scottish people. No ifs, buts or maybes. No voters are traitors and are deliberately voting against the best interests of the Scottish people. Whether we have 51% traitors or 49% traitors remains to be seen but every cross in the box for no represents a gutless traitor in our midst. Do not let yourselves down on Thursday, hold your head high and say "I voted yes because I believe in my nation".
  12. It is getting exciting now. The BT camp have thrown away a ridiculous lead and we now stand on the cusp of the re-birth of our great little nation. Dave Cameron wants you to vote no. Ed Milliband wants you to vote no. Nick Clegg, George Galloway and Gordon Brown want you to vote no. Do no voters actually look themselves in the mirror? Go on be a good little Westminster monkey puppet and do what the posh boys want, let us reign over you and do not dare to imagine you can ever have our power. Well on Thursday the Scottish people have an opportunity to take back our country, seize the power on our own soil and govern ourselves as we want to be governed. Any self respecting Scot will vote yes on Thursday lest you be a traitor to yourself and your countrymen.
  13. From now on, whenever I am sad I will think of George Galloway, he is such a buffoon I actually laugh.

  14. I was frightened to open this thread for fear that I had offended the original poster in some manner or another. It is Tommy the manager that is being talked about is it not? What a pissly poor start it has been to our season. I must confess that I did not have my usual excitement that I tend to feel in my auld bones on Saturday as I made my way toward the hollowed ground. That is not a good sign my fellow Buddies and Buddettes. Tommy needs to turn this round pretty damned quickly and I fear that even if we do we have already left ourselves somewhat behind our rivals in the old points total. We do tend to do things the hard way do we not? I have also began saying "is it not" and "do we not" for some reason have I not?
  15. May be cheaper to just bump him off. Shoes off, tippy toe, tippy toe and then BOO.
  16. In short we supporter's of the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co need only worry about our own vote and need not take heed of anything that imposters say. Imposters such as Stu Dick who confesses not to support our club but still insists on hovering around our fantastic forum without sensible need. People like Stu Dick need not influence us enlightened Paisley brethren of whom I am confident will vote the righteous vote of YES. Why does an imposter like Stu Dick insist on polluting our forum and making multiple posts on the subject? Because people like Stu Dick are wrong and cannot win an argument on any level so must resort to multiple posts in the hope that bombarding intelligent people like us with fake facts in the hope that some halfwits fall for it. People like Stu Dick are evil and in the words of Robert Burns form a "parcel of rogues in our nation". YES
  17. I just watched a new quiz on BBC 2 with the tall, lanky fellow from pointless called "two tribes". I was totally bored, should I have started a new thread about it?
  18. This forum is for Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co first team playing squad fans only like me and Stu Dick.....oh hang on!!!!! I look forward to your input my new fellow forum using friend, in particular the little nuggets of information you can drip feed us on any of our new loan signings. And unlike Stu Dick it would appear you actually have a reason to post among us. So in your native language may I greet you with the following Eeeeee by gum.
  19. The first point that must be made is that being in the union really has destroyed our ship building. It may have folded anyway but the lying, desperate shysters of better together have tried very hard to convince us that ship building could only be saved by the union. Clear, desperate and shameful lies. Could a yard operate competitively in an independent Scotland? Why not, in fact why can our great little country not sustain a yard? Ships still roam the seas, trawlers still trawl and all boats need building and fixing just as they always did. Ship building need not leave the Clyde and it is far too an important industry to allow it to die without effort. The greed of the union in demanding the idiotic corporation tax has only served to strangle our industry. As such I see this as an investment in Scotland worth making.
  20. Well let us hope that this young laddie signs as it is now clear that Tommy is always right so if Tommy wants him then we need to have him. Now I cannot help but wish to be hit with a rhythm stick when I hear this boys name. What is a rhythm stick? Did his grandfather hit people with a rhythm stick? Does anyone have a rhythm stick? Gawn on show us yer rhythm stick!
  21. The age of the Tomster starts in earnest tomorrow. We have seen highly rated and precious player's staying with the resurgent Buddies, we have seen not one, not two but a trio of new strikers arrive at our club, we have seen a new scoreboard to record the imminent goalfest, we have seen the worlds most minging strips to give the forum user's something to moan about and we have seen the managerial merry go round deliver us a wily young fox to occupy the hot seat. The weekend of the age of the Tom, the era of thy Craig, the Tomster days are finally upon us. The excitement is building in the auld bones, the pride in my season ticket ownership is starting to burn and I am proudly dressing to the right. Good luck Thomas Craig, I look forward to your stewardship of my club and I like any other fan with a brain am proud to have you managing my club. Let the Saints go marching on.
  22. Tomorrow my Buddies and Buddettes the age of Tommy shall commence. Haud yer hapennies as this will be some ride.

      TediousTom

Yes....Tommy's boys can be ridden like all the others

  23. A centre half in the mould of Scott Cuthbert is the type of centre half I like, Jackie Copeland and Gordon McQueen are also players who spring to mind but the youngest I can go with such a reference is Scott Cuthbert bearing in mind the apparent young readership that trawls this forum instead of being outside playing football, tig, hide and seek and other such things that youngsters of your age should be doing.
  24. Well said Griffendor, well said indeed. Some of our forum user's are somewhat guilty of underestimating just how great our football club really is. We are a really good club to sign for and I am sure many player's would be impressed with our set up, position, team spirit, wonderful fans (especially me) and hugely talented manager. Tommy will make the right decision and it will need to be a damn good offer to turn the lads head elsewhere. If the ball boy was to refuse a contract at our great and good club then deep down he will know that he will regret it for years to come.
