Do any of my fellow forum users have any information/guidance on how one would set up a website? Now I am fully aware that our webmaster is, well a master of the web but I understand he is indeed a professional web designer. I am looking for information to pass onto an ambitious relative of mine who is in the processes of starting a brand new business. As such funds are not so much tight but more or less non existent (except what old Tom helps out with). The position (as I understand it) is that the various web domain names have been purchased but not yet launched, due to no idea as to how to do the next bit! Thank you advance my dear fellow forum users

John, I must protest at the way you have served to hijack this thread about "The un-named American" to further state your opinion regarding the 10000hrs proposal. Your position is made less credible by the very fact that this fine forum is littered with many, many threads where you could properly discuss or express your yourself. You are, what one may refer to as a "seasoned poster" (a forum user who, by the amount of posts and variety of discussions entered into may be considered by the responsible forum user as someone who has used the forum in an above average usage) and as such you really should know better. This is not a 10000hrs discussion. To bring this back on subject Do any of my fellow forum user's have any new and interesting news about this apparent bid?

This young man made a mistake and he was duly punished in the correct manner by the courts of our land. That should be ithe end of the matter. Due to the tedious nature of my posting I cannot leave it at that so I feel the need to comment on this further. Personally I would hope that decent supporters of our club (the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co) can see beyond that and hope that this young fellow can learn from his mistake and go on to become a valuable member of our team. I sincerely would hope that supporters of our club do not present themseves to be so shallow minded as to write this young fellow off for a discretion that he has already paid for. Obviously if he were to continue in this vein then he would not be suitable for our club, but as he has already paid his debt to society then we, as better human beings should hope that he is able to become an asset to our club. This young man has some growing up to do but what 21yr old male does not. Im also enthused by the prospect of our club landing at least one free player from the mess that the tax dodging cheats have left Scottish football in. In short, good luck to the young fellow and I hope he can become a Saint Mirren legend to the extent that I regard his older brother to be.

My fellow poster TsuMirren has summed up the situation amicably. However i will also reply in the hope that I can assist fellow posters in processing the information that you have posted. Most importantly, your very posting style reveals that you do have an agenda, one that you make no attempt to hide and one that invalidates your viewpoint. It is actually a real shame that you did that because you really did raise a very valid discussion and one that was worthy of consumption, consideration and debate. I am confident that this entire issue will be raised in another, less agenda led format and I look forward to participating in that discussion.

I agree wholeheartedly. Although this is an interesting soundbite provided by John (thats what I call Sid these days as we are clearly becoming close, in a forum user to forum user way) I feel that starting another thread was not required. I am surprised as John himself has indicated in the past that he does value the quality of the forum, indeed I was hoping to see some improved content in his posting as a result. In conclusion Mr Mougie, we are in agreement that starting this thread was not necessary.

No Newco Shull, I have no interest in sticking anything inside my rectum. My rectum is a very wrinkly, well worn exit only tube and I plan to keep it that way. The CIC is the way forward, I fear that the mention of a small contribution from you is the only reason you are against it but with fan ownership I will go to my grave and be safe in the knowledge that my team, the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co will always be. That said, I do not wish to go to my grave as I have only recently purchased my season ticket and I am excited to see how this CIC pans out, very excited indeed! -

Well thats me just sat down after my usual day of popping pills, doctors appointments and shopping for one. After another days of chores designed to keep me alive for another 24hrs I have only just sat down at my beloved laptop and taken the first opportunity to log onto 10000hrs. Firstly I wish to state how pleased and proud I am that a sizable section of the Paisley public (and beyond) has demonstrated the commitment required to make and exceed the target. Fantastic news and well done to all who pledged, I for one am proud of you! Secondly I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr Atkinson and all involved with the 10000hrs bid. Despite all the setbacks you have shown true determination and ability to get to this stage. Well done indeed. Thirdly (and Lastly) I wish to encourage as many of you who have still to pledge to sit down, fill out the mandate and commit to this. The more the merrier. Surely now this deal is close to be getting done, lets give it that final push.......... Edited to add: A special mention for Div. His hard work and expert use of his interweb skills have certianly helped 10000hrs get this far. We are lucky to have a supporter amongst us who is willing to work so hard for the club (the club being the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co).
