i don't think there is much in the way of science behind either viewpoint, I would rather we went into a playoff situation with some time to plan and execute. I think every manager would take what they could get but would prefer to be in early and comfortably. That would take a sustained period of good form without taking the foot off the gas, would it not?
Nothing worse than busting a gut to catch up on the final hurdle and finding the other guy has had time to gather a second wind, in fact, i can think of loads of things there is nothing worse than.
How would you feel if you had a say as to who grabbed the last 2 spots? Now that would be interesting.

you need to be winning games now if you want success in the play-offs. amassing the points and being safe in a play-off spot would give us the opportunity to be a little tactical in resting players during the last third of the season. With some older players in the side that will be invaluable.
we also need to be attracting a couple of players in the next window and getting clear water in 2nd or 3rd place will help no end

It sickens me to think that loyal saints fans with decades of supporting the team are roundly abused on this forum for telling it the way they see it and telling it like it is
If people are unhappy with Murray and vent it on here it is because they are passionate and care about the club, it is NOT the fault of fans that the club is not delivering
The forum is littered with no-mark, no-guts cowards who round on those with a view

as were the two second halves v livi
we sit on 2 goal leads, got away with it last week but fecked over big style by a team that know we lose our way after 45 minutes
    too predictable by half

    Anthony Joshua V Gary Cornish
Cornish will be the first big, fit(ish) under 40 year old pro that Joshua has met so it might be a bit of a test
And I'm not sure he has the speed or the punch to trouble him. he seems a bit of a wrestler from what I have seen and I don't see Joshua going up against anyone with a chance against him before 2017.
    But this might be interesting

one of my neighbour's kids played/trained at cowden and at stenny a few years ago. They don't get much dosh in those parts and it is enough for students to keep the borrowing down, not much more so I take this move at face value as being exactly what he and his family argued for.
I think it was potentially damaging for us if he continued to be a focal point for the campaign against current youth contracts, much as i understand the principle of his stance i didn't want to see saints slurred or penalised in any way so it is good for both parties to see him released. Playing fitba is a lottery and he is right to keep his options open, especially considering where his career could go. so goodbye and good luck KD.
Hopefully, in signing his release papers, we wrote in a sell-on or future option clause to the agreement.

I played football with Kieran last season and not only is he a great player but he's a really nice boy - I wish him all the best at his new club.

you can't "build for the future" with loanees, over 30's and most of your players on 2 year or less contracts
