Shull Asleep? - Actress Pan Breid'

I shared a lift in a north-sea ferry with kate O 'mara and some of her entourage whilst she was filming Triangle.

The mighty buds were sailing home after winning our first ever ever european tie only to find that the BBC had started to record on the vessel. KOM was first seen attempting to sunbathe on a deck outside one of the bars. What you couldnt see clearly on TV was a crowd of buds banging the windows and making lewd (but at the time socially acceptable) gestures from behind the glass wall. They eventually gave up filming that scene.

later, i got into the lift and Wee kate (tidy wee thing she was back then) was there with her girlies, all discussing what they were going to do with her hair for the next scene, I told them that if they wanted her hair to turn out like mine, they needed to shampoo it with a half-bottle of head and shoulders, rinse approximately 50% of the shampoo out, give your head a good shake and stick it out the porthole until it was blown dry

i dont think they ran with that idea, but i am told that Kate mentioned her ordeal at my hands in a magazine article a few weeks later

I was on the same ferry BOK.The behaviour of Buds towards the Actors/Actresses was not good but was really funny.

I don't know if you watched Triangle but the last ever episode was about a group of football hooligans travelling on the ferry.I remember thinking they'd got the idea courtesy of the Saints Fans.:)

we would be trawled through the press gauntlet by the PC mafia if something similar occurred today, but it was acceptable in the 80s

i remember spending hours in the ferry lounge singing "tom hark" with a bunch of Foxbar boys, except we were using swedish chef-style lyrics and Murph was playing a seat-cushion accordion

The hangover lasted from felixstowe to Paisley (14 hours in those days)

The ferry over was almost as good, we went over 1 week early to take in the sweden-scotland game and there was a wee casino on board. iwas ahead by quite a bit until 20 minutes till closing and was all of a sudden a good few quid down, a few of the other scots fans were round the table and the croupier was starting to have trouble keeping order, he told us the lights would go off for 20 seconds to signal that there would be no more spins on the wheel. we all bet heavily on red, as did a couple of furriners who were raking it in. suspiciously, the furriners had rolled up just before everyone else went on a losing run causing some hard stares and tension in the room

The ball landed on black just as the lights went out-all of a sudden all you could hear in the darkness was the sound of chips being swiped from the table and the croupier trying to rake them in-the rake was ripped from his grasp and flung to the other end of the room as he started making a weird crying noise. the lights came back on and the scots were already over at the cashier's window laden down with chips and the croupier was sat in a chair with his head in his hands.
