chalky1 Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 There are a few legit Adobe updates going about just now Quote
zebrakid Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Trovi is an absolute nightmare to remove worse for some reason on Chrome rather than Internet explorer best to download updates from Adobe direct rather than a dialogue box Quote
saintnextlifetime Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 I just had another attempt from the malicious malware , a publisher called " Pup Options". . Be careful out there. . Quote

It then tried to install a browser protector call Search Protect from trovi.com. . My anti-virus protected me . . Be careful . . Saw that yesterday too and immediately closed the window. I was caught out a year or so ago by this. Fortunately Malwarebytes sorted it for me. Always wary now of any notifications for Adobe and I download from their "official" site. Quote
RickMcD Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 Try using Maleware Bytes. . Is Malware Bytes definitely safe to download, even the free one? Quote
salmonbuddie Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 I've got the free version on my laptop, Rick, and was so impressed with the job it did that I downloaded the Android version for my phone. You have to manually scan once your free trial is up but it's no great hardship - I'll probably buy the full version when my Virgin protection runs out in a few months. The Android version is completely free, btw. Quote

FTOF Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I've also been re-directed to a site telling me that my IE is not the latest version and to download it from the site which s definitely not Microsoft. Don't be fooled. Quote
