ColWolves
Hi all Wolves fan - taking the missus for a romantic trip north next Sunday - and going to sample the delights of St Mirren v Kilmarnock. What is the best place to go for a couple of pre-match beers? I heard that there aren't any pubs near the ground.... any recommendations? cheers
FTOF
If your hotel is in Glasgow, go to a city centre pub* and get the train to Paisley St.James station which is right outside the ground. *If it's a romantic weekend, take your wife to The Champagne bar in Glasgow Central Station Hotel. if you're in Paisley, The Bull Inn is the traditional place to go. Although, The Bankhouse in Gilmour Street next to Gilmour Street station is full of Saints fans before the game.
Luther G. Presley
The Bankhouse which is close to the train station is good, it will be full of supporters going to the game, service is good, prices are reasonable, plenty of TVs to show the early kick offs, and the place does food too. There’s a train at 2.52 which will get you to the stadium on time for kick-off too.
lovestlegend
There’s a bar at the ground but you need a member to sign you in. Maybe some kind soul on here will do the honours for you.
shull
Steer well clear of most pubs in Paisley this Sunday. And definitely Glasgow City Centre will be a no go area. Better to be getting signed into the Bar at the Stadium. SECTARIAN SUNDAY FECKEM
shull
Will be definitely not working in Toxic Glasgow this Sunday. Will spend the afternoon with daughter at Unit 23 or Zone 74 Skateparks. SECTARIAN SUNDAY IN SHIT SCOTLAND.

Good old fashioned football pub on match days.
proudtobeabuddy
Brewers Tap on Moss St is a good wee pub and just round the corner from the train station.
ColWolves
Thanks all! Loads of options. I hadn't factored in the Auld Firm nonsense so will avoid Glasgow!

Sadly it's not restricted to Glasgow. A fair number of Paisley pubs accommodate one of the old scum arse cheeks. However, hopefully the pubs mentioned already will be relatively free of their infestation.

The Court Bar doesn't have sky so it should be a bigot free pub on Thursday.
