Buying out the Seats in the Family Stand

Recommended Posts

I wonder how much that would cost? I wonder if we could raise the money? I wonder if we could do it through a charity we know and get gift aid on the donations? A way to support the community, combat loneliness and bridge community divisions.? Only around 1600 seats. OAO, Family, Kids........ Adults

What size of fund would we need?

Say 1600 seats at an average of £100 each£160,0,00

Work that back by taking off gift aid and it doesn't look too frightening.

Take off the number of season ticket holders already based there and it looks even better.

Advantages include not having to give away fans the seats

It's cheaper to buy family season tickets, but then again not everybody has children.

Assuming the club would be willing to sell them at Early Bird prices, then:

Quote
Family Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 u-12s) £408*
Adult £240
Concession £112
Juvenile (13-17) £41
18-21 £174
First Child (12 and under) 2 free with each adult/concession ticket ***
Additional Child (12 and under) £11
Row 'A' Disabled £56
Carer Free of Charge

So SMISA's £7,000 could purchase 17 Family Tickets, or 85 seats.

The same money would purchase just 29 adult tickets.

1,600 x 240 = £384,000 - if all the seats were sold at adult prices.

Or 300 of the family group tickets for 2 adults and 3 kids at £408. Gives around £122,400. If done through gift aid.. Around £100k Perhaps the cheapest alternative.

Well if Captain Tom can raise £12M then I’m sure Pricky Ricky can raise £400,000.

Get him some Viagra and let him loose on the Stirling Care homes.....

Lol. I'm no Captain Tom.. Well done that man.

£7000......85 kids. £122,000 to £130,000 for 320 Family (5) tickets or £384,000 if all adult.  What we need is an Oil Industry Magnate. I can think of two. The wee man from Arbroath and my brother in law.

Gift Aid cannot be reclaimed if the donation involves goods or services.

Seats would be seen as a transaction involving goods in return for the donation.

No can do.

BEK.  Thanks. Does that apply if the donor doesn't get the seat?

In crowd funding it doesn't seem to be unusual for "rewards" to be given.. Thoughts?
