Close of play 259/4 off 90 overs.
Two wickets in the first three overs after lunch and one in the first over after tea tend to suggest carelessness from India's batsmen, unless England can strike early tomorrow (with the new ball still only 9 overs old) it could be a long day in the field and a big Indian score. Once again the "sameness" of England's bowling attack has been exposed!

I think they'll be fine too, I also think they'll finish below us.

If you don't learn from the past, you are destined to repeat the mistakes!.....................................total bollox.
Yea, Robert you a Tory? .....................................
How conscientious, narcissistic and libertarian of you........................How very Harry Potter of you.
I love the confidence of the future from the "Yes" voters when at best it's all very much a gamble.

Tomorrow at Trent Bridge in Nottingham Shull.
The first of a five match test series, should be epic and Cook will have to go if he doesn't win.

We play in a league with these clubs. Our season will be defined in comparison to our competitors.

It's the only 5 star facility in Scotland, as rated independently by football academy Scotland or similar - could source later. The Old Firm have 6 stars, every other club in the country has 4 stars or less.
A magnificent achievement for a club like ours.

I've heard work on the clock is on schedule but don't take that as gospel.
It's second hand information.

We always play the u20's in the semi...
The final is a first team pre season friendly. Not really understanding why it's a joke? Are all friendlies a joke or just this one?

Today the newspapers are full of claims from Scottish business leaders who say that they've been threatened by the SNP that they will face "repercussions down the road" if they don't stay out of the Independence debate. The threats aren't from factor like Stewart Campbell, they are from Alex Salmond and Angus Robertson themselves.
No wonder Alex Salmond was the only political leader booed at the naming ceremony for HMS Queen Elizabeth

Would be great to have strength in depth but it's difficult to find good players who will sign when you can't guarantee them a starting place. I'm inclined to think we should spend our budget on a quality core of maybe 15 or 16 and then have youngsters fill in the gaps. Last season we wasted a lot of money on players like Bahoken, Caprice, Campbell and Djemba-Djemba.

The quality of our starting 11 has been pretty good for the past couple of season. Lennon's problem was getting them to play consistently well. If you look at the team who beat Ross County to keep us up:
Dilo
Naismith McAusland McGregor Kelly
Newton McGinn Goodwin McGowan McLean
Thompson
Kello in for Dilo, Plummer in for McGregor, Wylde in for McLean, Teale in for Newton.....
Kello
Naismith McAusland Plummer Kelly
Teale McGinn Goodwin McLean Wylde
Thompson
Clearly we could do with a few more signings, but It's not a bad looking side and I don't think TC's starting 11 will be all that different from DL's. As I said before, the key is getting them to produce week in week out what they're capable of.

Was more likely Jon Scullion. He's about 5'3 with blonde hair.
I believe he was released last month.

You played the debate with a straight bat? You just used child molestation to try score political points.
Have a word with yourself.

There is absolutely no way that the Scottish Parliament will have it's powers reduced, that's shameless scaremongering with no basis in fact whatsoever.
UKIP will be lucky to win one seat at the next general election. Why do you pick Denmark and Sweden? Why not Ireland? Thats a far more recent and more relevant example of a country going it alone, a country which has got itself in a right state.
No one is saying we couldn't do it alone, of course we could. Why should we though? Why not stay in the union?

Are you arguing that if a private company does sub contract work for a public body then the public body isn't fit for purpose?

I've been hearing that since May 2012, when the yes campaign was launched. That was more than 2 years ago, there's little over 2 months to go.
How much longer do we need to wait for this dramatic swing?
-
TopCat got a reaction from buddiecat in The Referendum Thread
Oh, come on
I would concede it's likely that yes is winning among football fans that post and vote in polls on online forums.
Thankfully, this makes up a minuscule fraction of the voting populace.
Does it concern you that YES is losing heavily in every single properly weighted and conducted poll? If it doesn't, it should.
-
TopCat got a reaction from Stuart Dickson in The Referendum Thread
Well I'm not voting no for the status quo, and I don't know anyone who is. More power for Holyrood is inevitable in my opinion, and we will have it as a strong nation inside the UK.
I think BT is in the box seat despite the campaign, not because of it. Yes has the better politicians, has been able to set the question and has spent far more money campaigning.
Better Together has dull politicians, had been pretty skint till Miss Rowling stepped in and has been fighting against the negative connotations of the question set by The SNP. Had the referendum question been ' Should Scotland remain as part of the UK? ' the whole campaign dynamic would have been different. Yes is an inherently positive word, no is an inherently negative one.
However, despite all the advantages yes have had, they've not been able to poll 50% anywhere. It's remarkable really.

TopCat reacted to marrez in James Marwood Signs
In hindsight Lewis Guy was not that bad a player at this level, 5 goals from about 20 starts was not the worst return we have had from a striker.
