Thommo is a genuine Saints Legend. Up there with Tony Fitz. Don't think there any others who come close in my lifetime to be fair.
Was fantastic for three seasons, scoring goals and leading the line fantastically, also leading us to the historic cup win. Even an injury hit season and this season, which seems to have been a bridge too far, can do anything to blight his standing with the club's fans.
    Thanks for everything Thommo.

No point going through club by club, every bugger apart from us can sell their JD badged kit at their club shop.

JD-supplied Bournemouth kits available direct from the Bournemouth online store....
    http://www.afcbdirect.co.uk/listingPage.aspx?gc=kit-m-home
When Blackpool were wearing JD-supplied kit (maybe they still are?), their kit was available at their Bloomfield Road store. I actually had a chance to ask the JD Sports guy why other clubs sold kit in their shops while we didn't. The answer was 'those clubs have a different deal than St Mirren'. My response was, 'why don't St Mirren have the deal those clubs do then?'. The answer to that was pretty much 'just because', accompanied by mumbling and shuffling in their seat.
My view? St Mirren were delighted to let JD handle the whole shooting match, get rid of the problem, and with AWP gone, the less responsibility they had to deal with in his absence, the better.

I've heard it mentioned that the shop is being expanded for the new season. Can anyone confirm this?
Would be great to have the strips for sale in the club shop as well...

If ever there was a game we should boycott - this is it. Fill the ground with Saints fans? Aye, did ye' Fitzy? Don't go near the fcuking place. Give them the whole ground Gilmour & Co. When a boycott is discussed, anyone suggesting it gets ripped to pieces for 'damaging the club'... The board are doing a damn fine job with the damaging, not us. 'One town one team' - aye, my fcuking arse. I have a car park pass and a seat sandwiched between two stands full of gurning championship winning neanderthals? Fcuk off Gilmour & Co.
As an aside, use a couple of hundred quid from their money to actually get the Hall of Fame panel you received the artwork for back in early January printed and installed. It's only taken over two years and after being asked to do the artwork in December, and doing it for you over the Christmas holidays, you still haven't bothered to print and install a simple printed panel and we're halfway through March. How fcuking hard can it be FFS? Useless fcuking Sevco arse-licking barstewards.

    Why the big demand ?
    Should be a non story.
League will have been won long before that.
We are a Family Club, so we will not be closing the Family Stand to accomodate sectarian bigots.

Good luck to Brian Caldwell. Met Brian a few times over the years and got nothing but positive things to say about him. He has been a brilliant servant to the club and we have been lucky to have him. A true gent and extremely helpful when ever I have contacted him. Always approachable and extremely helpful.
    Good luck at Shrewsbury Brian!

I am a female St Mirren fan but can I just say that the tittle tattle on here between grown men and women is ridiculous. It is really stupid talk and not about St Mirren. Grow up and be men please and stick to talking about St Mirren and not about spelling mistakes made by some, full stops in sentences or in other words grammar or slagging people for opinions to such an extent that it is verbal bullying. I don't agree with everyone either but I don't stoop so low as to belittle someone with such nasty nasty words. You don't know who you are replying to it could be a child or an elderly person but you are replying to a person.
So come on guys stick to what the forum is about St Mirren

There will probably be an official announcement but in the meantime I would like to thank all fellow St Mirren supporters who so kindly donated food to the Renfrewshire Foodbank on Saturday. The volunteers were astounded by the quantity of donations. A big thank you to the Fans Council for arranging this, your efforts are much appreciated.

One of my favourite Saints players ever. Truly a guy who always seemed at his best in the stripes as it never really clicked anywhere else for him.
St. Mirren and Vanzy always just seemed a good fit for one another.

Smashing bloke, great player, and hugely deserving of his place in our hall of fame.

Legend is an over used term in football, but Vanzy truly is. A league title and 2 Cup wins. A gent into the bargain. Would be delighted to have him back at the club in any capacity.
