Fricky_Bellend reacted to faraway saint in Which Clubs will go Bust?
He'll do what he likes, no body is bothered, it's tragic.
Isn't the other thread almost the same, FFS!

He created the same thread twice then changed the title of one of them (this one).

It might be quicker waiting on a cure than that.

I mind around the mid 80s when I was about 16 me and a mate got chased down Murray Street from a couple of Celtic fans, we left the game early hoping to avoid them coming out the away end as we were heading home to Feegie but ended up in the middle of thousands of the fcukers,
Anyway the further we ran down Murray street the further away from the Celtic fans we got so we decided to slow down and let them catch us up, I'll never forget there faces when they realised they had isolated themselves from the rest of the fans, so us being very hospitable Fegs decided to give them what the wanted and ended up punching fcuk right out them, also remember a couple of older Celtic fans laughing as they walked by us saying well done lads the daft cnuts got what the deserved....😂

Leaving Tynecastle after a 2 nil defeat in the early 90's, heading back to the bus we were confronted by few Hearts casuals. One guy on our bus took a couple of punches. Police arrived and broke it up.
Said young guy, while walking to the bus, snapped every car aerial off that he passed. Must have had about 20 or so of them.
I found it amusing back then but would be f**kin raging if it had happened to my car.

The Bridge of Doom! It's legendary.
Ach, I thought I'd find more about it online:

Hibs fans tend to like us now due to the amounts of times we have f**ked the Hearts up
1986 1987 2011 2013 and maybe also 2020 if they go down

Fricky_Bellend reacted to faraway saint in Could Coronavirus Kill Our 42 Clubs
I'd be surprised if this makes a significant difference.
Not saying there won't be a reduction but the futures still looking bright and neither parties will want to jeopardize future agreements.
There won't be, IMO, anywhere near the gloom hoped for by some.

St Mirren aren't lucky. A lot of hard work has gone into our youth development in the last 20 odd years, which has put us in a better position than some other clubs, due to the sales of players.

2 offerings.
1) As a wee boy, we sometimes went to Glasgow Airport in the days you could walk out the gantry style roof & watch the planes coming and going.
There were seating areas on it and usual things tables & bins etc.
Anyway I was walking backward while watching the planes and fell in and got wedged in one of the large circular concrete bins, soaking wet from whatever was in the bin on a dry sunny day, wasn’t my finest moment.
2) Scottish Cup Final 87 - Had been collecting all the newspaper cuttings & pictures from each round, made a wee Saints hat for the day , the day arrives happy days.
Except, at 18 years old decided to get 6 cans of Breaker for my liquid breakfast/lunch.
Got the train ‘special’ from Paisley/ Glasgow ( now pished ) don’t remember anything other than waking up in extra time Ferguson scored. Got in Hampden ok ( now idea how ) missed whole game.
I do however remember the town that night from my bus stop roof view opposite town hall [emoji4]
Happy days

Write on envelope ?
Posted on ( date ) Open 1 week later ?
Similar idea for schools : closing for several weeks : ZERO staff in building for first week : then they can be cleaned safely on week 2 as it’s no longer active on hard surfaces ?

Airdrie v St Mirren at New Broomfield on a Friday night during the millennium champions season. Basher scores o put us two nothing up, my brother punches my glasses off whilst celebrating and they fall on to the row in front - just as I'm teaching down to get them the guy in front accidentally jumps on top of them while celebrating. I spent the rest of the game trying to watch through one lens and twisted frames!! Great win though 😆

Just seen a cracking idea on the news, people have been writing/sending letters to residents in care homes.
I'm going to write a letter to my Dad, with work and stuff wasn't getting down as much as possible but as it's closed for visitors this idea will give me chance to keep in touch.

Sorry to be a spoil sport... but the virus can survive over 24 hours on paper and be transferred that way, as far as I understand it.
I too thought it was a fantastic idea... but was soon "corrected"!

1987 cup quarter final away to Raith, in a pub before the game and stood up to go to the bar just as a fight broke out. Took a pint glass square on the head and got a massive cut. Still went to the game but the bloody thing wouldn't stop bleeding.
