rabuddies reacted to Slarti in The Politics Thread
The world has always been run for the benefit of "the few". Their way of control is to convince enough people that if they work hard enough/earn enough that they too can become one of "the few". Which would obviously make them "the many", not "the few" - and "the few" don't really want that.

rabuddies got a reaction from hamlet in Paisley - My Pics Of Old Or Unusual Buildings Or Places Of Interest.
I think you mean under the La Scala. Next door to the cinema was the City Bakeries and if you walked through the shop you entered the tearoom. There were stairs leading down and that was the Cafe Riche (a part of the City Bakeries), a very popular town centre venue for wedding receptions and funeral teas. The bridal party and guests (and the mourners) all had to walk through the shop to get to the venue.
You had to either get a moble bar in or do it yourself. As my Grampa had 5 daughters the family did it themselves. I was a waiter when still in Primary school.

Is this another self diagnosis? It makes you think why people bother training as doctors. I worked with a chap who had attended Fettes, Edinburgh Uni and Oxford where he got a first. He was as near to genius as anyone I have ever met - but if he ever went to the doctor he carried an armful of files detailing every doctor's comments and his own comments on his visits. Afterwards he would spend his lunch hour at his desk correcting the diagnosis. He sadly passed at a comparatively young age. Be warned young man.

Just noticed a new Italian Seafood restaurant on Bridge St. Il Pescatore - it has a chippie take away but it would appear to be a restaurant. As yet it doesn't have online booking so you might be lucky. Call 0141 611 0907. If you do go can you post a review on here 'cos I like a good fish restaurant. Ta.

Remember this is the department that couldn't count the number of weans that would need primary and secondary education in future years. I rest my case.

Wasn't it lucky that there was a camera there to film it all. More to come on the "is he / isn't he" from conspiracy buffs I guess.

Monday morning chat in the office usually started with "did you watch Parky on Saturday night" and then the football. He was as good as you get and the best in my lifetime. RIP

rabuddies reacted to antrin in Huw Edwards, sexual deviant or mentally ill?
Huw Edwards has been known for a long time to suffer hugely with depression.
so the retreat into a facility appears to be a completely reasonable response to being “outed” by that shitrag tabloid for something (or nothing!) that the alleged “victim” has publicly stated never happened.
His career is probably now ended on the basis that feckless “parents” and an unscrupulous publisher made up vague unspecified lies about him.

I think we should publicly announce to the last penny what we get from every transfer .
It’s only fair that the employers & agents of any potential targets know exactly how much spare dosh we have when negotiating . 🙄.
