Good piece of business by TC.
Kello is on a 1 year contract - Ridgers is now on a 2!
Regardless of what happens, we won't be in the ludicrous position of not having a decent GK next summer.

In what way was it "resounding"?
All I heard was that "is for the Scots to decide"

The "H" night was by far my worst ever moment following Saints, and there have been a few belters! And everything was looking rosy up until the last 5 minutes.

You see, this is the problem I have with this thread.
I have simply tried to highlight the fact that it will be all but impossible to get any reliable information from anyone in respect of the potential post-referendum landscape, but folks stil insist on twisting things to reflect their partisan position. That's fine, but it merely leaves us going round in ever increasing circles and getting further away from any meaningful discussion.
It is what it is Stuart. I'll decide on what basis I am willing to take a leap of faith, just as you will decide on what basis you wouldn't be. So it goes.
I'll say this much, it disappoints me greatly that the recent agendas from both sides have focussed on how much better we'd be off financially if we vote one way or another. So much for lofty principles, eh? I am far less concerned about whether I would be £1000 a year better or worse off than I am about living in a socially just society. This is want I aspire to for our country and my children - not whether I can afford a bigger TV or extra holiday in the coming years. Naive idealist? Perhaps. As I say....so it goes.

The election had absolutely nothing to do with the independence referendum. Any comparisons that you are desperately trying to make are fabricated in your mind. There was no question on the ballot paper asking if Scotland should be an independent country. This election was about an entirely different issue. You have absolutely no idea if any UKIP, Conservative, Green, Labour etc etc voters would vote YES come September (no-one does). Like I mentioned earlier, I have never voted SNP but I would vote YES for independence so you are completely wrong to claim that anything has been "proved beyond all doubt".
I can only hope we do get a much better turnout come September as I find it quite embarrassing that we can't even muster up half of our voters to actually vote. What's the point in democracy if we aren't prepared to even use it?

You keep typing it if it makes you feel better but all political comment I can see following the Euro vote seems to suggest it was a good result for the Yes campaign. You can't have it both ways by claiming UKIP was a protest vote and hence can be dismissed when it comes to a general election but the result in your eyes sounds the death knell for Yes when it comes to the referendum. The truth is when it comes to the vote in September the Euro election will be about as relevant as the result of the world cup i.e. none what so ever.

    The lies continue
Apologies to Stuart for another link to pro-independence website (don't read it if you don't want) but this is one of my biggest problems with the NO campaign. It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt again and again that they are using shameful tactics and outright lies to win votes and not promoting their own campaigns strengths.Printing these glossy brochures filled with lies is total scumbaggery tactics. It's a real shame that there will be good people trying to make the right choice being swayed by stuff like this.

As a Student at GSA studying the Mackintosh, today has been heartbreaking. From total destruction to the building, 90% of the structure has been saved and 70% of the contents has also been saved. Sadly it looks as if the Mackintosh lecture theatre, the hen run and the library is gone.
Feel for all those who have worked so hard on their degree show for this to happen. Everyone got out quickly with no one hurt so that's the main thing. I'm hoping that it will be in a state of repair that students can get back in come september.

Wasn't Windsor Castle hugely damaged by fire, and Liz Windsor opened the doors to Buck' House to raise money? Windsor Castle was put back together.
If the exterior of the Art School survives, it would take a ton of money, but could (like Windsor Castle) be brought to life again. With craftsmen re-creating the interior in a Macintosh style.
Obviously not ideal, but there's no turning back the clock and the fire happened. Need to look forward and see what might be able to be done.
Where will the money come from? Cancel Trident, stop spending zillions on unwinnable wars, or grab Ally McCoist's transfer warchest.

Where is the "bountiful wealth" the UK generates? It sure isn't this part of the island!

Proof indeed that there are plenty of resources left around this island - just that much hasn't yet been discovered.
So, if south Englandshire has loads, they will be happy then to see the Scots (who they subsidise apparently) go independent?
How is UK "the most successful political union ever?" - successful for whom exactly?

I'm very sad to announce that my time at St. Mirren has come to an end.
The 9 years I've spent at the club have, without doubt, been the most enjoyable of my career. I'm extremely proud to have played for St. Mirren and, of course, to leave with 3 winners medals which I will treasure for the rest of my life.
The club has given my family and I the most amazing memories and I've made some of my best friends in football there.
I'd like to thank everyone involved with the club, from the board to the fans, for their support throughout the years and I'd like to wish Tommy, Jim & Gary all the best for the future.
Finally, I'd like to thank my past and current team mates. It has been a pleasure to have shared a dressing room with these guys and they have played a huge part in my memories at the club.

The referendum is in 2014 (September)
Independence day will not be until April 2016
Scottish Parliamentary elections - May 2016 - The Government will be dissolved during Purdah period, so, in fact, there is a chance the SNP will never be in Government in an independent Scotland!
    Do keep up Dicko!
