ScotstounSaint reacted to Callum Gilhooley in Scottish Cup Quarter Final Draw
Well , i wont be going , i vowed never to set foot in either of the two hate filled hell holes ever again .
Why should i pay good money to sit in inferior seats to the home fans , to be subjected to a different set of rules by over zealous stewards and be in amongst a threatening and abusive support spouting their vile sectarian views going in and coming out of the stadium ?

ScotstounSaint reacted to Ayrshire Saints in Stevie Mallon
Indeed he did only guy on the park who was able to use the wind to their advantage and his crosses caused havoc. Great set up for the second goal too. Odd day midfield wise as individually I thought they were all good, it just didn't click often enough as a unit although it's probably harsh to judge too much on a pitch like that in conditions as they were. Hopefully Morgan's return to form will help take pressure off Stevie and Stephen McGinn. A chance to show what they can do against the Welsh world record holders next week too.
ETA Oh and he scored a goal that was missed direct from a corner too imo

Horrible horrible day in a horrible little ground on a horrible pitch but we found a way which is all that matters. Only two real bits of quality were Morgans goals but no moaning as it was an awful day to be playing football in. Some might complain about our "Lego" stadium but it keeps you dry and compared to that today the playing surface is like a green at Augusta

Against a part time team that we need to catch and are 11 points behind, yeah, I think it was a bad result. -

There's an obvious flaw in your argument.
I'll see if you can figure it out.

Oh for f**k sake, I'm saying his overall play didn't help. Having Irvine on the park also didn't help and Eckersley marking Nade at corners certainly didn't help. Very few single things have cost us points, there's usually been various factors. Obviously Shankland's penalty miss and Langfield's ludicrous pass are exceptions, but even they are portions of a wider series of events over 90 minutes. -

No, I'm looking for a player to put a shift in and lead the damn line properly. He chased nothing, was weak under pressure, rarely jumped, never held the ball up, never even took the ball in and did as little right as possible. I haven't even blamed Clarkson for us not holding a lead. I do blame him for the ball coming back at us so often though. -

That performance could only be described as not too bad if you compared it to a striker who'd never played there before. You are right though, Irvine was also rotten and let his mates down. -

We need Dickson to take this up with the FCA / Supporters Direct / Citizens Advice Bureau / DVLA Swansea.
£500 whip round anyone?

All I am saying is Dumbarton have a Manager whose full time job is at Rolls Royce who has the luxury of having his players two nights per week for training tactics etc yet we have been unable to beat them this season and are well above us points wise.Something is badly badly wrong at our club.

Can't sack Jack Ross, we need to give our manager time for a change but it doesn't mean he can get a free ride.
Sacking him before the end of the season or in October after he has signed a whole new team up would continue the crap cycle we are in. -

We sign 3 players that can play at full back yet Irvine still gets a start, and has a poor game as usual. That's bad management.

Bah, stats.

Sorry but I do think this post is quite delusional.
Jack Ross has now had 15 league games in the championship this season; Played 15, Won 2, Drawn 4, Lost 9. 10/45 Points. Rae did not leave us with such a bad squad that all hope of competing with part-time Ayr and Dumbarton nevermind the full-time teams had to be surrendered. You say Ross should have chased Walsh sooner than he did - Walsh was barely given a chance by Ross despite the fact that his goals accounted for 50% of our league points gained until the point he was totally dropped from all involvement in the matchday squads.
It doesn't particularly matter much now that Rae is away but he did have a lot of key injuries during his 6 league games: Quinn missed all of them, MacKenzie missed most of them, McAllister missed all of them, Morgan missed a few, Ben Gordon missed most of them as well, Calum Gallacher also picked up an injury early in the season. Langfield and Gallagher also threw in a couple of howlers during Rae's league games as well.
Rae left such a bad squad for Jack Ross to inherit that:
1. Jason Naismith moved to Ross County for a nominal fee.
2, Lawrence Shankland went on loan to Morton
3. Ryan Hardie went on loan to Raith Rovers
4. Scott Gallacher went to Hibs
5. Derby County have paid anywhere between £200-500k for Kyle McAllister.
6. Even Calum Gallagher also moved to a club above us in the league - Dumbarton
Clubs were looking at paying a fee for Stevie Mallan as well so over half of Rae's shambles of a squad have been snapped up by clubs further up the league(s) than ourselves at the moment which hardly suggests Jack Ross inherited a squad with players unable to compete at Championship level. Only Kyle Hutton has dropped down a level and Tom Walsh was released by Rangers and hasn't found himself a new club yet.
When Jack Ross came in our goal scoring deteriorated as he dropped Walsh completely after a few games, threw Shankland in and dropped him again, did the same with Hardie, and dropped Sutton

I agree that we need to stop sacking managers but I would also suggest it should only stop after we stop hiring bad ones.

Think Baird is a bit unlucky to be dropped... he has done pretty well since coming back into our team. Hope he's brought on before Webster when MacKenzie goes off injured. Thought Fjelde had looked solid but unremarkable.
Wondering how we can cope without the assist-threat that is Stevie Mallan today. Can anyone else take a good corner kick or not score from a direct free kick?
Dropping Sutton for Clarkson is another strange one, unless Jack Ross has told Clarkson its a cup game today.

Good call to put Clarkson up front.
He's a quality striker and has just been unlucky so far.
He nearly hit the post earlier in the season.
I can see this working out.
