Fans are being treated as arseholes because so many of them behave like arseholes.
We saw it again at Ibrox on Friday night but this goes on everywhere.
We don't see this at cricket, rugby or elsewhere.
In fact, no other sport in the country has this problem of aggression and arsehole behaviour.
People can't behave like twats and then whine and cry because they are singled out for harsh treatment.

All this smacks of a repeat of Murphy's 100 towns tour during the referendum. This time he is targeting gullible football fans in his quest to try and make himself popular amongst the working classes.
Hopefully the punters will see through this utter snake. He is the only politician in Scotland that can out-Tory the Tories. I personally would be against the idea. The beer for one would be completely overpriced, secondly I'd rather give my money to the likes of the Court Bar who have given support to the Chivas bus these last few years rather than a BOD who are now treating the fans with contempt and ready to sell to a bunch of Argentinian chancers in a desperate bid to recoup their money.

First step should be to remove segregation inside football grounds, then ask the question about alcohol. If fans can sit and watch football matches together with no trouble in the stands then it could be assumed that the sport might finally have matured enough for the fans to be afforded the opportunity to buy some alcohol at matches.
I have to say that I think that having alcohol on sale at a stadium belonging to a club that has happily taken grants from organisations who seek to promote health and well being through sport would be a bit tasteless, especially when you throw in the "family" factor and you ask the question if a parent responsible for looking after a child at the football should be drinking alcohol at all, particularly if at full time the parent is driving the child home.

Of course there is a lot of interest in this fixture. I have no problem admitting I am very interested in it. The facts are that they were the two hugely big clubs in a small country, and it is only natural they attracted a ton of attention. No-one else comes close in honours won, stadium capacity, fanbase, commercial income, European appearances....
By any measure they were big, successful, and that is looking at it coldly and impartially. Personally, my interest is similar to watching the start of a Grand Prix - there might be a huge crash that you watch through your fingers, but you still watch it. The Rangers dynamic means that this particular fixture is loaded with never-seen-before shifts in power and squad strength. The 'car crash' I hope, results in them getting humiliated 7-0, with Celtic's turn coming with a 2 or 3 goal loss to Aberdeen or Dundee Utd in the final.
I dislike both of them, but that doesn't mean I am not interested in watching the game on Sunday.

I think use of the word 'scandal' is a bit strong.
There are tonnes of schemes like this. Every now and then, the HMRC will turn around and decide to close the loopholes - and it is entitled to retrospectively ask for the unpaid tax back.

Judging by the amount of obsession with this game on this forum, the media are right.
Fans of other clubs are absolutely obsessed with these two clubs and this particular game.
All the "we hate the OF" is just bullshit bravado.
When push comes to shove fans just obsess over this game and the proof is on this thread.
Personally I genuinely couldn't give a flying f**k about any of it and would die happy not knowing Sunday's result.
Alas it seems I'm alone in that regard.
Oh well.

I wondered about this too. Are they not technically insolvent? Doncaster will be on the case to ensure sporting integrity......oh wait a minute.....If I was a supporter of a Championship club I would be questioning the SFA. RIFC have a squad they can't afford, without payday loans. Is that not a sporting advantage?
