You are correct drew. I do know that Brian Caldwell is in on the signing of players. I was chatting to him about the Isma transfer and he said that wad part of his role.

They have no right to play God with the club's league status, whether they like DL or not.
DL's ability as a manager and a motivator can be called into question time and again (and regularly is). DL's ability as a human being can't. He's a genuinely good, kind-hearted man and he certainly doesn't deserve a dressing room revolt from a bunch over over-payed primadonnas.

Yet I'd bet that some of the same people who were against 1000hours because of the unknown quantity above are the same people who will be wanting unknown wealthy businessmen to take over the club. Some people just don't want change from the traditional model of ownership.

Agree with you shull....and some of the interviews dont hold too much back....one with greg dyke ( new boss of FA ?) was really good. Not ur usual stuff like a well rehearsed speach with pre known questions etc.

With all due respect to the fans who have voiced their opinions to the contrary, please show them with renewed vigour through performances on the pitch that Danny Lennon is a manager who you respect and trust. You may not always agree with his decisions be it team selection, formation tactics, substitutions, training methods or choice of post match pizza toppings, but please raise your game to save this man his job. Whilst others have given up hope and are pointing the finger, some still have faith and hope success without personnel change can be sought. Despite our collective angst (louder from some than others), we the fans, support you and our backing of the club is unwavering. Please repay this support with a change in form and we will be most grateful. Thank you for delivering a day in the sun in March which will never be forgotten and the performances that led to it. Can we have some more please to quiet the discontent from very vocal quarters?

I was in a meeting a few months ago with someone from st mirren and he had to take a call on his mobile. Conversion was about something that was said on the forums and to quote response " take it with a pinch of salt" was the reply. We than had a chat about stuff online and yes players, manager and directors do look online to see what is begin said.

Lex, I never understood this whole "I won't be back until the manager goes" or "I won't be back until we start winning" etc etc. I always believe that you support a football club and while managers and players go - no matter how good or bad they are - the club remain, its history and all the memories (good and bad). I understand that in the 21st century people can choose how to spend their money and withold it if they are unhappy. However, surely being a supporter means you pay to watch your team and keep the club afloat? Anyone refusing to go because of the manager in charge is surely hurting the club they profess to love by witholding much needed cash?

Reading this thread and the hundreds of others which have sprung up recently has made me seriously wonder if I'm following the right team or even sport.
Grown adults who can't understand how to contain frustration.

Grown adults who don't give a f**k that other people have paid who may just want to watch football and then go home without having their own and their kids ears ringing with words of poison.
For all of you who are taking football this seriously? Give up. Stop coming. You clearly hate the games and everybody else hates being next to you when you are in this state. Find another sport or follow Celtic. Learn to love life again. Then maybe come back occasionally. The club simply doesn't need you.
I'd like to see a demographic of those who boo and shout abuse at players and managers.
I expect it would be largely populated by those who genuinely feel they have or are failing in their own lives.
I genuinely believe that.
A balanced content and largely happy individual simply wouldn't feel the need to engage in abusing players.

Whether this is an open forum or not is totally irrelevant, the open abuse and direct unmitigated personal attacks on DL are completely uncalled for.
Without doubt he is trying his best. Now to some that is maybe not enough, but whether we like it or not as supporters, that is what we have got - a Manager who has introduced a different brand of football and works within a severely constrained budget.
Guys - get it into your thick heads, if DL and TC were given Barcelona's budget and players we would see really exciting successful football, we don't and never shall have that luxury, so accept what we have, a BoD that won't go into debt, a budget that is extremely tight and a bunch of players that would struggle to make the grade in the third tier of English football.
Stop the vitriol against DL, by all means make sensible, rational and non-personal comments, but please stop this tirade against someone who has brought some joy to the miserable bunch that call themselves Saint's supporters!

Got a match on Saturday, he and Tommy have shown they have come up trumps before.

Both of them have got loads of experience. Both are doing the coaching exams, thommo I believe is doing uefa exams. That tells me that they are looking to go into management. And after speaking to tommo he would like to go into management. That added to my opinion and thommos dedication he has shown. Would, I think make him a good manager. Sorry just my opinion I thought I was allowed one
