whydowebother Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 They could line the defence up like a Toblerone in front of Cornell , or is that already happening Quote
chalky1 Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Heard someone mention something yesterday about 2 blokes buying the club, stopped listening to the guys because all they did was berate every single saints player whether they had the ball or not. Quote
Drew Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Swiss Tony? I can't imagine that buying St Mirren just now would be like making love to a beautiful woman. Quote
2becks Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I can't imagine that buying St Mirren just now would be like making love to a beautiful woman. Buying the Buddies would is like making love to beautiful woman. exciting and fun at the time but all downhill from there. Quote
fmckinn Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Heard the rumour last nite. anyone know if their is any substance to it. Quote
div Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I've heard a few rumblings recently about the possibility that the club could be very close to being sold. These have come from more than one credible person, but it's obviously possible that the rumours have just come full circle and that there is only one source. When you look at the deathly silence from the board of late though, and you factor in the removal of Richard Atkinson recently it could well be that things are moving in that direction. You could also argue that the reluctance to give Danny Lennon the bullet could well be because they wanted to give new owners the chance to bring their own man in. This is just wild idle speculation on my part - anyone else heard anything ? Quote
Drew Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) I also heard the rumour about the Swiss guys late last week. Too many rumblings to suggest that there's nothing in this. I had heard of two possible bids, however. Edited September 15, 2013 by Drew Quote

flyingscot Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 God f*cking help us if we are going to be run by foreign owners and not St Mirren Supporters. This. You'd have to question why foreign owners would get involved if this is true. Quote

Drew Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 This. You'd have to question why foreign owners would get involved if this is true. To use the club as a means by which to develop young Swiss talents is the story I heard. Scenarios like this always give me cause for concern. Quote
