bigjerseybuddie reacted to pozbaird in St Mirren V Livingston Championship Boxing Day 2015
Alloa v Saints looked like being New Manager Bounce v No Manager Bounce. Then we moved for Rae and it became New Manager Bounce v New Manager Bounce. Now Saints v Livvy is the new New Manager Bounce v No Manager Bounce fixture this week, or maybe If they act as quickly as we did, New Manager Bounce v New Manager Bounce - the sequel. Who will deliver the most bounce? It's a bouncy old time right enough.
Boing!

Thought he came across well in his short interview, no outlandish claims, just some realistic improvement. He comes across as a good communicator who is nobody's fool. I don't care what team he supports as long as he gets every st Mirren player giving their all and we at least look as if we are organised. We were unlikely to attract a manager with a great track record so it might just be possible that everything that Rae has learned under good Managers in the past will be of benefit to us. Give the guy a chance

bigjerseybuddie reacted to LoveStreetLover in Jimmy Cooper - Another Buddie Down
Hi all,
I'm sad to say we lost another life long St Mirren fan at the weekend there in Jimmy Cooper. His son Peter asked me to put up a post to let fellow buddies know who knew him, where and when the funeral is.
Tuesday 22nd Dec at 12 at Woodside Paisley Crematorium.
Jimmy Cooper and Derek Menzies were the reason Peter, myself and many of our friends became buddies over 20 years ago. So they have a lot to answer for. Why couldn't they be Barcelona fans!? They will dearly be missed.
I still remember the day he bought me an extra season ticket to go along with his son to sit in the North bank. Once I heard the songs and banter that day, I was hooked. Many years later at the cup final I got to thank him for making me a st mirren fan.
RIP buddie

Whoever the next manager is it's bound to split opinion amongst the supporters. One things for sure it will take someone pretty special to sort out this mess quickly. When a whole team can't string two passes together and can't find a team mate with a two yard pass then there's obviously problems. These guys are proud professionals yet look lost and amateurish at best.
Fitness seems to be a major issue too as all the other teams in this division are scampering about the pitch while we huff and puff.
A no nonsense, boot up the arse type manager who has the players fighting for every ball will do for starters. If you don't have commitment then you're beat before you start. We need more people at the club who understand what it means to play for st Mirren. An Alex Neil type would do nicely
