Osman Sow and Simeon Jackson both released by Killie today.
Hard pass on both. Sow is f**king mince and Jackson, whilst he did us a turn, isn't as good as what we currently have.

I'd say hands down that of players still here from last season, he has been the most consistent top performer in last 12 months. Fantastic player with bags of energy and determination.

JM1 got a reaction from St.Ricky in Bubbles Gone But Not Forgotten
Great player.
Him and Junior were the two guys I loved to watch when I first started regularly going to games.

Shows what a bit of effort can do. Closed down well today and didn't give Accies time to look up - the complete opposite of Wednesday. If you are not having a great game at least some hard work can help the team. A few better last minute passes and thinner woodwork and we could have scored about 6.
Morais looks a lot better playing in a bit of space - had an excellent game. And well done the makeshift defence. But lots of plaudits to Cammy McPherson who was playing in his natural position and his well taken goal.

Twat.
Whilst his sanctimonious point may have been well intended, the simple truth is that this initiative will have encouraged a number of people who wouldn't ordinarily have donated to make a contribution.
How can that be wrong? -
JM1 reacted to div in Pounds for points for foodbank.
There always someone looking for a negative angle on things.
i genuinely made a bit of a fun post on Monday challenging the team with the hope of raising a few quid for the FoodBank.
Ive done this before with goals meaning donations to the NorthBank.
The donation was made on behalf of the website, not me personally. The site raises a wee bit every month through advertising and this is me giving back.
I didn’t ask anyone else to join in, but it completely blew up and before we knew it 500 had joined in and pledged.
After getting spanked on Weds night with the wind taken out our sails a wee bit I opted to just go ahead and open the donations page early.
A few days on and £2K already guaranteed in donations.
Im proud of that, and desperately hope we get thousands more.
I’ve spoken to Ian today as I’ve been very surprised by some of the stuff that’s been written about this.
He’s someone I know well and I’ve always found him to be a really nice bloke so I’m not entirely sure where this has all come from tbh!
Hopefully I’ve clarified things with him and put his mind at ease. This was never supposed to be anything but a positive but you know, negativity is never far away.

Worrying that we're passing so many opportunities to put this to bed

It’s a great headache for the gaffer to have but as he has done so many times in the past, McGinn showed he’s instrumental to this team.
For me, McGinn plays and we see what Goody does regarding selection.

Flynn.
McGinn offered more today, than Flynn did in his last game IMO.
If JG goes by his usual team selection, the man in possession in a winning team will start.
Some people, with presumably selective memories, will have forgotten until up until January, Ryan Flynn was a complete impostor.
IMO he's been pretty average this season so far.

JM1 reacted to Cornwall_Saint in Club Captain?
Hopefully McGinn can pull out a Shuggie Murray type comeback.
Every time he got dropped it looked like his days were numbered, just for Shuggie to find his best form again. Even more so when he lost the captaincy. I hope Stephen has some of that too.

He gave us a turn when he came back

Rangers beat St Mirren more times than any other team
This is unfortunately now a stat that can never change since that club is now dead

Last team (along with Aberdeen) to play in front of an attendance of over 100,000 in a domestic football match in the UK that didn’t involve either of the Old Firm.
1959 Scottish Cup Final

If you had tried to wave a phone about that day it would have ended up getting belted about 20 rows in front of you. People were lost, bones were smashed....a phone would have had no chance

I always remember him hitting it past Barry Fergusan one way while running round the other. He had either just signed his PCA with that mob or was heavily rumoured for one.
Anyway Fergusan couldn't believe what he was seeing as our young CH made him look very stupid.
"Too good for Rangers" was the Northbank chant. -

Broadfoot would be a very good signing indeed. Plenty of experience, still got a bit in the tank and has been a very good player for us in the past.
I had no idea he was as old as 35. Assumed he was about 32 or 33 but then I can't believe it was 13 years ago that he left us. If we get a good season out of him, why not? He was a regular in the 3rd best team in Scotland last season and he'd probably walk into one of the starting centre half roles of most of the rest of the bottom six.

Will be remembered for not downing tools after he signed the PCA with Rangers. Was a key player in the run in that season.
And also standing on the ball after the late winner against St Johnstone.

Is that a financial decision, then? They must be f**ked.
I'd probably take him as back up to what we have, tbh.

One of the absolute worst reasons though, especially given it's completely false. Jack Ross did a great job for us. He then moved to a much better paid job and greater opportunity, something likely 99% of people would have done. He should be wished nothing but the best in his future career IMO. Some people are just bitter though I guess.

The fool that started this thread could have started a Jack Ross thread the other night when they put Burnley out the cup surely?
Or any of the 5 wins in a row over previous weeks?
We took a few heavy defeats under Jack too. Still had a league title to celebrate at the end of the year.
-
JM1 reacted to BuddieinEK in Former St Mirren Managers
Controversial... But what Jack Ross created during his short tenure was the closest thing ever to replicating that adrenaline rush!
In actual fact... He achieved as much in a shorter time frame.
Ross leaving for Sunderland was little different from Fergie leaving for Aberdeen.
Kearney continued the feel good vibe and I believe James will continue the good relationship...
But JR taking us from where we were to where he left us was so like Fergies achievement. -

My mate finishes his job at the shirt printers this month, but he's going out with a bang. Apparently we've just ordered a load of:
GIJOPS
Bear in mind the last prediction matched Andreu almost perfectly - two weeks before he was announced.
Speculate away.
