Was a really good game again. Once we got those first couple of goals in, everyones tails were up and to score 5 on the trot, what a turn around! I really need to get my dribbling legs on though, tried it once and Craig seems to have spiderman legs and got it off me.. so back to defence I went. Didn't seem to cover the park as much as I normally did, the formation seemed to work tonight and once again the bibless are on top!

Yeah i was bit concerned when filling out that form that a league might be set up and something happens to our Wednesday game. The thing I like most about this is the fact that no one takes it too seriously and just TRY to play some football. It varies in skill level and fitness throughout the group. A league would certainly take away some of the enjoyment factor when people try to compete.
Certainly agree that the Standby list is getting too big. Maybe the person wanting the Monday game could create a new one, although i'd hate not to have the chance to play with the guys I played with in the first 6 weeks again, who are now stuck in standby due to various holidays.
Any update from Brian re the advanced payments?

Surely it's a case of...if you book the pitch and no show then the next time you want the pitch, you have to pay the club the 4 week fee. Use the policy as a punishment for those costing the club money.
Asking groups who haven't missed a booking to pay up front is a more than a tad unfair.
Get our resident right back and board member on the case...

Was a brilliant game tonight. Was 0-0 for at least 20 mins and when we went 3 behind we battled back to make it 3-3. We had everyone up for a corner to try and equalise when it went 4-3 and sadly that led to the last one going in. Ill hold my hand up for not having he best game, couldnt run far in tha heat! Next week the bibless will be back on top.

Asked on their forums for pubs near Stockports ground that were friendly and decent, they said the Royal Oak on Castle Street or The Crown if you like your real ale.

They were pretty even I guess. You just had more people going it alone and snatching at a shot rather than taking your time. Plus we had Ewen who doesn't miss ;)

What a great wife I have got. Said I was sad to miss the Stockport game as we were going on holiday that day. Just go and we will go away on the Monday.
Great so my good lady is booking my train for the Saturday morning traveling back up on the Sunday well pleased.

I voted ewen my motm purely for his golden boot but on reflection it should have went to big fraser for his comedy performance in "skinning 3 people, rounding the keeper, missing the shot and tripping over his own feet" it was a sight to behold
